Way too expensive....its a diner!
They are a diner trying be a restaurant and charge restaurant prices. The food isnt even that good. Its not worth it. I could have went to Atlantic Grill for brunch and spent the same amout of money.

Solid Diner but new choc-shake needed
Yeah! Live lobsters in a tank on premises, KNOW you're getting a freshie lobster for NYC chump change ~ $27. Why pay more? It's steam + melted butter no one going to do it better. Shucks... Choco-milkshake too close to Burger King after-taste. This diner needs to take the Bryer's ice cream, and blend it. If you want a better milkshake, hit Dunkin Donuts on 65th and 1st, or hit the diner on 1st and 62nd. Breakfast: nice bacon, eggs cooked properly, but make sure you grind it into these guys you want your toast buttered. If I'm gonna butter it myself, tell the cook to invite me into the kitchen. Best grapefruit half I think I've had in my life no sugar required, you hear? OJ is fresh squeezed, yeah! Service: prompt as all hel!, but bean-count the tab as mistakes can happen. If you want some guys and gals to hold a conversation, this is your place. Chock-full-o-regulars too. Price: it's a diner in NYC, only way to get cheaper is to cook yourself, and even that's probably more expensive.

diner
its a diner food, large portions, fresh, the service is ok, (its a diner what do you expect), and although the interior can use a renovation, the place is clean. I have notice a drop-off in number of customers due to their increase of prices do not let that stop you from trying the place, as stated above, Clean, Big Portions and decent service, just know that your normal $30.00 diner dinner for two, can run you $10 more here.

Good Food and Nice Atmosphere
me and my friends had a night out in the city and we went to silver star. My friend had the cheeseburger and she said it was so juicy and tender. I had the chicken parmigiana and the chicken was so tender and soft, it just watered in my mouth. The service was okay, but the restaurant was busy! The prices are okay considering the area and the portions of the meals!

not bad-not great
its a diner, and menu is vast. the fish is fresh and prepared however requested. the service is ok, the diner could use a big time refurbishing. the main complaint are the prices. a simple Turkey burger with baked potato shouldn't be $13.00. Plus the rest. raised their prices twice in the past year, not a problem with that, but we didn't know of the price increase until we received our check, the new prices were not reflected on the menus, nor did the host or server mention it to us, and we are regulars in eating in and taking out. if there was another diner nearby, i might try it just because of that.

Great for a visitor to New York
We found this resturant first morning we got to New York, this was our Breakfast place. Good food and very good service. Being 6 of us meant that a few tables had to be move, this was never a problem. We will definately go back next time in New York.
