i don't order food from here for myself, but my wife likes the larger portions and prepares it to her liking without questions. however be careful on pricing, as others state correctly, its over-priced for a simple diner, but when the reg. take out order guy was out, the replacement tried to charge me $5.00 more for the same salad dish claiming cause I had a tossed salad chopped and order two dif. salad leaves, romaine and iceberg, so had to charge more. what unacceptable and ridiculous answers. I spoke to management and agreed to change the check. went from $21 to $16 for a chopped chicken breast salad....still $$$$

consistent food, but it's so expensive that it's obnoxious. tough to do business with them based on their prices

My children and I were shopping in the city, and decided to have dinner at Silver Star. It was a Saturday and even though it was busy, we were served right away! We all ordered different items from their outstanding menu! Talk about variety! You have a choice of so many tasty meals! I ordered the grilled chicken with green vegetables- DELICIOUS! (and very healthy) My kids ordered steak and mashed potatoes- yummy- they loved it! Besides the great food- they have awesome desserts. The kids loved their seven layer chocolate cake and I loved their carrot cake. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Food, atmosphere, value and service are all very poor quality at this diner/restaurant. Messy kitchen, dirty dining room, variable service, overpriced menu includes wilted salads, greasy soups, rubbery eggs, overcooked meats and fish, soggy and bland vegetables, stale bread. And the overall experience just becomes worse and worse as prices rise higher and higher.

insanely overpriced UES diner that needs a reality check--and fast! STOPPED going there when a chicken salad on a bed of lettuce came to 17.00. Nuts. Spend your money someplace else.
