priced too high even for the Upper East Side
prices are outrageous. used to eat there all the time. but prices have just shot up over the last year.

Great Food Fast
My children and I were shopping in the city,and decided to have dinner at Silver Star. It was a Saturday and even though it was busy, we were served right away! We all ordered different items from their outstanding menu! Talk about variety! You have a choice of so many tasty meals! I ordered the grilled chicken with green vegetables- DELICIOUS! (and very healthy) My kids ordered steak and mashed potatoes- yummy- they loved it! Besides the great food- they have awesome desserts.The kids loved their seven layer chocolate cake and I loved their carrot cake. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Greasy Spoon
Food, atmosphere, value and service are all very poor quality at this diner/restaurant. Messy kitchen, dirty dining room, variable service, overpriced menu includes wilted salads, greasy soups, rubbery eggs, overcooked meats and fish, soggy and bland vegetables, stale bread. And the overall experience just becomes worse and worse as prices rise higher and higher.

overpriced and overhyped
insanely overpriced UES diner that needs a reality check--and fast! STOPPED going there when a chicken salad on a bed of lettuce came to 17.00. Nuts. Spend your money someplace else.

Great Food!
i come here all the time with my friends although the prices are a little high what do you expect from 2nd avenue..i usually have the chicken sovlaki its really good the burgers are awesome! and the best part is their cheesecake!

The Best Cheesecake
My friends and I went to Silverstar Restaurant after the movies. We all ordered something different and were very surprised at how fast our order arrived. The food was actually very good. I had the grilled chicken and it was very moist and tender, but the best part was the cheesecake. I have never eaten a better cheesecake and I've tried many. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.

I like this place
I’m from Astoria and I have to tell you that this restaurant is so good that I’ll go back a lot more often. The fish I had was really fresh and my server was a European young man, he was so kind. I am European too. Anyway, I liked the place very much and I recommend to anyone. The price is not low, but this is the Upper East Side, not the Bronx.
