    Healthy and delicious!

So pleased my Beet Salad is back and even better! All dishes look and taste delicious. Also always good music and interesting art on the walls.

Great food, but you have to know what to pick...

This restaurant has excellent food, but make sure you pick the right things! In my experience, this restaurant shines when dealing with "raw" (ideally uncooked) or cold dishes. The foundation of top notch ingredients is cajoled into dishes celebrating life, yielding the quinoa salad which always has a little something to pleasantly surprise you (Oh, and that's in addition to changing seasonly), the light and tasty mighty tuna sandwich and, an the asparagus, red pepper, olive and Parmesan dish is fit for a kings table, understated, luxurious and refined. This said, I find that the longer the cooking tine for a dish, the more likely I am not to like it. Now, I am not an extremist! I love all types of food including long cooked ones (when well done) like osso bucco, tagines, mechoui, pot-au-feu, sauce souple`, ox tail stew... Well, you get the drift. Most of their cooked dishes, sadly, seem to take one too many chances and something goes wrong. The result tastes stretched, directionless and flat-ish (in terms of flavor) which it attempts to balance with (too many) isolated high notes (in terms of flavor intensity) contending for dominance. The rule of thumb at the start of this paragraph, developed through trail and error, works well for Siggy's. But, irrespective, there is a care that shows through the the food. A pride and commitment to serve quality food, a rare commodity these days. Enkidu

    Cozy, bright, and delicious

I could eat here everyday. Whether I want a satisfying, flavorful burger (organic) or be good and eat a healthy (and yes its filling!) salad, i know i can come here. I don't need to get the dinner entrees, Siggy's burgers, sandwiches, salads, and delicious smoothies and juices are all you need for an amazing experience. The chicken sandwich is so moist and perfectly seasoned, and the turkey burger is fantastic. The staff is really nice and appear to enjoy their work and talking to people. I always feel full, and light when I leave here.

    A Gem In Brooklyn Heights

Reading some of these reviews just makes me wonder what is wrong with people. Nothing is perfect and in case you didn't know, its not easy to run a restaurant and make every person happy. I worked in retail and can appreciate this. How anyone cannot like this place is beyond me. I am by no means a health food nut. I eat my share of Five Guys Burgers and now Crumbs Cupcakes who has opened in the hood! The food at Siggys is always fresh and well prepared and sure, I like some things on the menu better than others, but it is one of the few places where you can sit down to a meal and know that you are eating stuff that's good for you. Plus I find most items on the menu to be delicious if not fantastic. The staff is great and the place is cute. Lighten up!

    my favorite sandwich!

Love love love the Cheese Lover Heaven sandwich on seven grain bread! I work in DUMBO and was excited to learn that Siggy's recently started delivering.....but a bit disappointed to find out there was a $15 minimum- most other places in the neighborhood have a $10 minimum. Since I didn't have time to walk over there today, I sucked it up and placed my $15 order. I orderd a freshly squeezed mint lemonade and it was delicious, the perfect refreshing treat for a hot June day!
