Was surprised that the famous burger was just ok. Tiny pickle. Not impressive for the price. Service was slow. Had to keep asking for items that were missing from the order. Basically, it is a nice place to bring friends and clients but it has to stepup to continue to be competitve.

Let me first say that I've been to Sidecar twice before (2+ years ago) and had wonderful meals each time. Tonight was different. Ordered a Stella. Five minutes later waiter says they're out. Ordered a Strip steak (along with my two guests). Eight minutes later the manager comes by to apologize because they are out of NY strip and only have 2 ribeyes left. Ok...an NYC steakhouse out of two primary steak cuts on a Saturday night at 8pm? Hard to believe. Ribeye was very good. Sides arrived 5 minutes after dinner. Cannot imagine place will be around much longer with this poor customer experience. Another customer walking out at same time echoed comments.. Bottom line is steak was good, but everything else was not. Won't come back. There was no offer to comp coffee or a dessert.

Sidecar never disappoints although I usually go on business expense. There are local, fresh options on the raw bar, an alluring drink menu, healthy entrees, top notch service, soft jazz in the background and a speakeasy feel to the environment. If you haven't gone, go and enjoy.

Randomly stopped in. Got lucky it was a wedsnesday and they had the lobster roll on the menu. It was hands down the best I've had in the city. It was the most expensive one as well though. Nice atmosphere. Service wasn't bad, good have been better. I'll go back again but not as often as I want.

Went on a whim last night for dinner. Great service and a very nice environment. Appetizers we had a raw bar selection of shrimp and oysters. Main courses were the scallops (I asked for extra mushrooms since they were so yummy) and the lamb chops which were in a really great port wine sauce. A nice bottle of Pinot rounded out a great night.

I came for lunch and it was very good. she got the Caesar salad and said it was good. i had the turkey club which was very good, had a smoky taste to it. it is a very classy place to go it is upstairs so they have to buzz you in when you when you arrive, was not expecting that. the food was way over priced. it was $43.00 for a turkey club, Caesar salad and a coke. that is a little costly it is $17.00 for a hamburger. however i would still return to this place to check of their other dishes.

This restaurant is located above PJ Clarke's and has a more sophisticated menu than the PJ Clarke's menu. All the seafood is fresh and delicous-prepared with delicious and unique flavors. The short ribs are flavorful and melt in your mouth. The iceberg wedge has real pieces of bacon in it which is a real treat! The waitstaff is knowledgable and friendly and makes good, honest suggestions. The bar staff makes great drinks! It can be great for a dinner with family in town-or to entertain co-workers or friends. And all kidding aside, the cream spinach is simply amazing!!! If you go often enough you can get your own Sidecar card which will allow you to "swipe" yourself in to the hidden, always locked door! Enjoy!
