The Only worthy NYC Cheesesteak
Being from SE Pennsylvania, where cheesesteaks are the king of all foods (Note: Scrapple is not!), Shorty's is the ONLY place in NYC to get a cheesesteak that fulfills our inner Pennsylvanian cravings. SOOOO good! (Plus, any place that shows Eagles games on Sundays is OK by me! E-A-G-L-E-S!)

Awesome
If your looking for a cheese steak this is the place. I just finished a delicious cheese steak with sharp provolone cheese, mushrooms, and onions. I was not expecting to have such good cheese, but it is excellent provolone. The meat was lightly seasoned and the bread was soft. I'm usually a very harsh critic and this delivery was fantastic. Enjoy!

Cool Spot
Pretty good cheesesteaks here. They have the option for a half or a whole which is nice. Though the fries were the frozen type and not the fresh cut that I love so much, they were still pretty good. They put this crispy coating on them, I ordered a small and that was more than enough for me. I noticed most people in the restaurant ordered the wings so I need to investigate that one...

why go any place else
a cheese steak guy for 40 years, you wont get a better fillling inside anywhere. the bread could have a bit more crunch (not a fan of philly style bread) put my group in as regulars. in my opinion better than carl's by far. compare for yourself.

Best steaks in NYC!
Shorty's does it right. I'm from South Philly, now living in NY and this is the best place to go for steaks & birds games. The staff is awesome & by the way, most people don't know but the owner is from Philly so that's why it's so authentic.

Best cheesesteaks in NYC
I'm from Philly...and have yet to find a decent cheesesteak in NYC....then yesterday I tried this place. Now, dont get me wrong....I'll take a "genuine" philly steak from Dellasandros or Jims or wherever every time over anything in New York...but if you dont want to drive 2 hours, this is the place to go. They got the rolls right....soft inside, little firm outside. They got the meat right...really thin sliced, a little bit of spice, tender. And the sharp provolone is amazing. Granted, it's a little more $$ than I'm used to paying for a steak in Philly, but....we're not in Philly so I dont mind. Also...it doesn't hurt that there's a bar in the place, and that the bartender is really good looking and friendly. Keep in mind it's located basically in Hell....but whatever, the steaks rock.
