Fresh & Delicious
I've ordered from Shinbashi a few times and I'm never disappointed. The fish is always fresh and everything is presented beautifully, even for takeout. The prices are a tad steep for lunch, but for $20 you will fill your belly and be happy you did.

Delish
Thanks for the tip - went to take out shop and had the spicy tuna roll - for take out, it is very good - I want to try the fresh sushi from the main restaurant - will report back !!

finally a take out alternative
As a take out sushi connoisseur, I have always been disappointed by my mid-priced options in midtown. My co-worker and I stumbled across Shinbashi because of its sunny, outdoor seating and ended up being blown away by the sushi. The salad was composed with a variety of exotic micro greens (instead of soggy, brown, wilted romaine) with a delicate citrus dressing. Salmon avocado roll and the Toro scallion roll were equally impressive, fresh fish and well seasoned rice. Melts in your mouth instead of expanding... Did I also mention they have prepared sushi for take away across the street? This place is my salvation!
