Awesome sesame chicken. great service, everyone is super nice, from the one who answers the phone to the delivery guy. there's a 4 or 5 other chinese spots close to where i am but i would rather order here.

I've never written a review of anything on here so it means something that I am writing this. The food was delicious, best sesame chicken I've ordered thru take out, very inexpensive big portions. Im totally impressed

Well, I'm so very happy I read the reviews and decided to try a new place. I do have my favorite places for Chinese, depending upon what I am ordering, but this place is hands down the best! Food is fantastic, huge portions and great value - prices are less than all other restaurants on the UES. I ordered pork egg foo young combination, pork egg roll and pork fried rice! I've lived on the UES all my life and this place reminds me of the best Chinese food I used to have when I was a child. Jade Tang - Cantonese Food, Absolutely Delicious! Shanghai Restaurant, I'm going to tell my family and all my friends about you! The lady taking my order was so very nice, she even recited my order to me which is not common with other chinese restaurants rushing you off the phone when ordering. Pork Fried rice, pork egg foo young, pork egg roll combination platter, everything is superb! Young Chow Fried Rice, Boneless Spare Ribs, (free Sesame Noodle (HUGE Portion) - I cannot believe the price and everything is so fresh and good! I ordered soups for tomorrow, can't wait to try them too! Way too much food I ordered but I'm totally enjoying it and will be definitely looking forward to all the leftovers for sure! Nothing will go to waste! Hands down best place - I feel like I have died and gone to heaven! So comforting to truly enjoy the chinese food I grew up having as a special dinner with my family ! Enjoy! Oh, Yeah, Pork Steamed Dumplings, they were Yummy Too! Hooray for Shanghai! I will definitely be back to order my food and try a new dish for sure! Thanks again!

The restaurant is new and clear. All the food is fresh and great. Definitely a highly recommended one around the area. Last but not least, good price. Love their hot and sour soup!!

Food is ok wheny they get your order correct .. I only ordered from them because they were the only chinese rest. that had crab rangoon.. THANK Goodness I found another rest. that serves them now.

Right from the start greeted with a friendly voice on the phone. Then, my delivery gentleman couldn't have been nicer or more appreciative of his tip. THEN... the perfect egg roll that I had yet to find in the city! Delicious! Meal was great and ample, and the token fortune cookie and chinese noodle chips were both noticed and appreciated. All this + plus a soda+ im set for lunch tomorrow= happy camper

I have tried all of the Chinese restaurants in my area of the upper east side, and this is by far my absolute favorite. Whether I order delivery or go in for take out, it's always a very pleasurable experience. The value, service and food are always a delight.
