Dissapointing :(
I had order from here before it was good quality food but today the food was just plain unappetizing the shrimp were old; they taste odd as with trying to cover it with some spices and the chicken was not what I had taste the first time. I now just threw away $28 in delivery in a tangerine chicken with fried rice w/shrimp and vegetables. I should had order healthy food half the price tasty and at a great value, last time I order from here. why is it so hard to find a good chinese restaurant. what a shame I used to order from here this would had been my 4th or 5th time now is my last time. Guess dreaming for good chinese is like dreaming for the fairy tooth.

Great food!
I've been to Shanghai Pavilion twice now, and both times the food was outstanding. The service has been mixed; the first time it was great, the second time it was pretty bad. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend this place!

Fantastic!
This place was a very special find. The service was incredible, the atmosphere very nice for a reasonably-priced Chinese restaurant, and the food - very special. We had the pork and crab juicy buns (not as good as Joe's Shanghai, but awesome for the UES!), lion head casserole - melt-in-your-mouth-comforting-goodness, and a mix-and-match chicken w/broccoli in General Tso's sauce, which was incredible! My only complaint was that the portions are really a little too small. Overall, excellent, and I'm bringing a party of 7 there soon!

Totally Ordinary
Perhaps some of the worst Chinese I have ever tried. What is up with all the glowing reviews? The dumplings were tasteless. The green tea chicken was bland beyond belief as were the prawns in chili sauce. Do not believe the hype. Stay away from this one. You will be sorry if you don't.

Best chinese on UES, fast delivery
This place is great! The beef fried rice is amazing, and the garlic chicken and tangerine beef are both really good. The delivery was fast, it got here in half an hour and I live ten blocks away. GO HERE!

great place
i just can't get the lion's head casserole out of my mind. it was the most delicately seasoned yet flavor filled dish i've had at any restaurant in a long time.

Perfect!
mmm!! best general tso's I've ever had! great lunch deals and nice delivery guy. And they will give you brown rice for no additional cost! LOVE IT!
