Best Korean-Chinese Restaurant in midtown, NYC!

I visit Shanghai Mong whenever I miss their Mapa tofu rice and lemon cream sauce dumpling. I know most of the customers only know about jjajangmyun or jjambbong which are Shanghai Mong's well-known main dishes. But I want to recommend you other menus like

    Best Korean-Chinese food

This place serves Korean-Chinese food, which is different from American-Chinese food. So I wouldn't order general tso's chicken from here, but rather sweet and sour pork or the spicy garlic chicken. I wouldn't expect good lomein, but get the brown sauce

    Consistently delicious

I have been here several times, both dine-in and takeout, and the food is always fantastic. Service is usually very good as well. It's slightly on the pricey side but I package up half my meal as leftovers to help with that. They give you more than enough

    Good value all around

This place has become one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in NYC. The restaurant offers good food at a reasonable price. The atmosphere is consistent with its price level - nothing fancy and pleasant. Their service on the other hand, is not consistent

Do You Know What to Order?

If you want to get a good sense of what this restaurant is all about, order either the JJA JJANG MYUNG or JJAM BBONG. They are both noodle dishes and the absolute best from their entire menu. Remember this is Chinese fused with Korean styles.

    i adore this place

this is a sort of chinese/korean fusion that is incorporated widely in korean culture. i've been to at least 300 of these kinds of establishments in my life, and i love it here. i don't understand how the food here can be classified as disgusting. the
