Good but So Many Better
We were 4 for lunch. Ordered $18.95 special (soup, dumplings, 2 dishes, 2 bowls of rice). Had bean curd veg soup—OK. Dumplings were good; nicely pan fried, slightly underfilled, but fresh. Entrees—stewed beef was tasty and had Chinese spinach. Rich sauce and very fresh. Portion undersized. Ma po tofu was very spicy and in dark sauce Shanghai style-good, but almost overpowering. Again small portion. Had to order extra bowl of rice and got soup dumplings—very good, not too soupy, underfilled, fresh. Total bill was $30 with tax and tip. Probably could’ve done better just ordering our usual cheapie lunches (whatever over rice or 2 ala carte dishes). OK place but not great. Service good, décor pretty nice for CTown and bathroom clean. Not good enough to bring us back with so many competitors out there.

wonderful food and great service
i have eaten lunch here a couple of times, ordering one of the specials. the quality and preparation of the food - beef, pork, shrimp, bok choy, etc. - is superlative. i also attended a retirement party here for 35 people - the meal was a banquet and the guests marveled at the meal.
