    Wow!

I have been eating here since it opened. The shack burger is great and unless you are starving there is no need to double it. The combo of meat makes it exceptional! My husband has been a fan of the black and white shake with malt however they have changed to only one size option which can be too small for an adult. I convinced him to try the concrete with hot caramel sauce and fresh whipped cream. It is now a favorite as well and worth even standing in the freezing cold for.

    Not what I Thought

Was so excited to see the place open when we were visiting between Christmas and NY. Had heard so much about the place....Ordered a single hamburger and it was ok. That's it, just ok. Far prefer the burger at Burger Joint, or even Ruby Tuesday for that matter. Can't see what all the fuss is about.

    Addictive burgers

There's a reason people are lining up: fantastic burgers!! The meat is defintely high quality and fresh. I can't stop myself from going back inspite of the long line. Fries and shakes are really great too. Love the black and white shake with malt! I want to try the hot dog, but I'm addicted to the burgers! Also, enjoy eating in the park, nice treat for NYers without back yards and grills. NYC gem!

    beware of the squirrels!

The burgers are great, and the fries are even better, but beware!!! If you choose to eat in the park, birds and squirrels just might attack you and steal your delicious food. it's not pretty...

    Bad jokes - great burgers!

I think I was in line when that person Oompa (see below) and her friend were telling jokes to pass the time One more knock knock joke and the when they asked who's there the answer would have been "not me!" But luckily it didn't come to that. The burgers and shakes are AMAZING. Yum yum yum! I plan to return.

    Yum!

The burger, although small, was particularly tasty. I also got the Second City Birdwurst, which I would try again without all of the extras, because not only was the flavor of the sausage masked by all of the toppings, but they also made it very messy and hard to eat. I finished off the meal with a German Chocolate Concrete (a special for Octoberfest), which was more soupy and shake-like than I anticipated (I was hoping for something more like a Dairy Queen Blizzard), and I wish it had more of the ingredients, such as nuts and coconut, but it was still excellent. I will definitely be back to sample another type of Blizzard, and go for a Shack with cheese next!

    Yes, yes, yes!

The burgers here are juicy and delicious. Yes, the wait can be annoying, but completely worth it. The fries are the crinkly kind and are perfectly crispy. One of my favorite things here is the concrete jungle: vanilla custard with chocolate sauce, peanut butter and banana blended in...heavenly!
