Burgers are delish
This place has FABULOUS burgers, shakes etc. I do agree, even on non-peak times, there tends to be a decent wait unless you go on super off hours. I go anyway though, cuz it's that good.

Peak times?
I enjoyed the cheeseburger and it was nice eating in the park. But I have the same waiting complaint...yes, I know it is obvious not to go at peak times. That's why I went at 2:30. I still did not eat until about 30 minutes after I placed my order. When are the non-peak times?

Good food, don't go at peak times
Don't listen to the person below me - "I waited so long blahblahblah." Don't go at peak times. That is obvious. Good food. Good prices. Lunch in the park. Highly recommended.

Long lines...not much value
10 minutes in the order line...35 minutes in the pickup line...5 minutes to eat a not-so-big double Shack burger. If I wanted long lines and no end value I'd be at Ticketmaster getting Britney Spears tickets.

Best Burger in the Neighborhood
Forget the New York Burger a block away. THIS is the place to get a tasty burger for a reasonable price -- AND this burger will actually fill you up! Just don't forget to tell them whether you're staying or going, or they'll bark at you at the pickup window...

Yummy shack burger!
I love the Shack burger here, it's crispy and smokey and you can't beat eating under one of the treelined cafe tables. Very nice al fresco dining. My dog says he loves the pooch-ini!

Don't miss
Skip the kind of boring Chicago dog and go for the Shack Burger and a rootbeer float. Yes, it's worth the wait on line. Better yet, go later in the day when the line dies down.
