Shake over to the shake shack...
...but be prepared to wait in line once you do. if the line reaches the big tree (you'll know it when you see it), expect an hour wait. the food is greasy and great, and nothing beats eating in the park. the bird dog and shroom burger are great options for non red-meat eaters. and don't forget a milk shake! FYI--if you want to satisfy a milkshake craving sans food, go right up to the front of the line!

Get ready to wait in line
The lines are pretty ridiculous- I've never been on a weekday, but I have stood in line on the weekends before, it usually takes about an hour and a half, so don't go if you're starving or are so hung over that you won't be able to stand that long. However, there is plenty of people watching and dog watching, so the wait isn't all that bad. The hamburgers are delicous- the seasoning on the burgers is perfect. The fries and chocolate milk shakes are also great. My boyfriend ordered a "taxi dog" which was some kind of hot dog with a sweet saurkraut on it, it was okay, but in my opinion, the burgers are much better. You also can't beat eating outside on a beautiful day.

Great Shack Burger & Mocha Shackachino
There is often a long line around the little outdoor booth, but it's for good reason. Shack Shack's Shack Burger and Mocha Shackachino's are delicious. They put a special sauce on the burger, and they blend 3 soft serve ice creams to make a rich Mochachino that rivals Serendipity's Frozen Hot Chocolate. Oh, and they top it off with a big dollop of whip cream that's sure to give you a white mustache. All in all, good shack burger and mochashackachino. Their fries are good too.

Scrumptious Super Shake Shack
Awesome food. Shroom burger the best!!! Wanted more but didn't want to stand in line again. Plus, you're in the middle of the park. Go at 11:30am to avoid a 2hr line.

It's been a long winter
But the Shack's now open again! I love the burgers. get the Shack Stack and you will not be disappointed. The lines get long, so go at non peak hours. Also, bring your pooch along for a poochini...that is, if s/he doesn't chase pigeons or rats...stop squealing, it's in a park in NYC... definitely worth the trip

Yummy fries
I went to the Shake Shack on Saturday (it smells sooo good from afar!) and I got the Taxi Dog with a chocolate milkshake and fries. The fries were excellent. Nice and crispy. The dog was pretty good as well. The milkshake was just okay. I expected better. I'd definitely go here again.

Overcooked burgers
This place would be fantastic if only they didn't overcook the burgers. The default cook here is medium well to well done. I prefer medium rare, but I would be perfectly satisfied with just medium. If you ask for medium, though, they will tell you that is how they cook it, and you will likely get medium well. If you ask for medium rare, you will get rare to raw. The fries are great, though.
