    Still Dreaming About This Burger!

I'd heard about this place from a bunch of friends and figured it was about time to check it out. This shake shack is the closest to where I lived so I figured one nice summer evening I'd go check it out. While yes, the line was long - it was completely worth the wait. The outdoor seating area was gorgeous with string lights creating a canopy in the night sky. When my buzzer went off to go get my burger, I took my first bite and was immediatly in love. The cheese burger with the sauce was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to go back!

    A total let down

Went over there to the one in 86 st one, is new. I Wasted my money I was tottaly dissatisfy .first time to go. I ordered a dobble shake burger. Problem no 1. line moved slow and there was allmost no line on top of this after ordering I waited longer than 15 minutes to get my single order of just this simgle item. many more orders kept comming out and even people that ordered after me. Was hungry and finnaly got my order. Problem no 2. The burger was a greassy mess and condiments were all over the place and in no proper proportions. the bun was flattened and too small. gezz that's the last thing you want to do with a burger be stingy with the bread. not decent. Problem no 3 found no place to sit! so had to sit and try it on the same bench I was waiting for it. loussy... problem no 4. After all that I said well atleasdt I am goping to eat this thing.. but oh no that was not the end of the problem assembly line lol.. because after my second byte the taste was bad mostly because the meat was damage & old. it had a leatherish taste of beef this means is past due of edibility. at that point asked for a bag to take it and left the miserable place. took two more bites outside but was not able to get past the terrible taste., and so thruw it away with bag and all. first and last time I go there. I needed to say this to get this of my chest.this was a very bad experience. Service, Atmosfere and food all were bad and the burger was over priced for the size, problem no 5, give me a break, all was Ridiculous! not decent not worth it.They dont get it. I do Not recomend it to you. a total let down. : ( arrrg...

    Not what I was expecting

Waited 45 minutes against my better judgment but was hoping for a perfect burger to make it worth the wait. Sadly it was far from it. I didn't so much mind that it was a greasy mess that looked more like chili than a burger but the fact that there was zero sear on the meat for me was unacceptable. It was almost inconceivable that this burger was done on a grill. It looked like it was steamed or microwaved. The outer surface was the same color as the inside. I took a photo of the patty just to keep as a warning for anyone wanting to go there and tough out the wait. The shake was good. Very strong and real coffee flavor - I was even buzzing off the caffeine all afternoon. If I ever end up forced to go back I'll try the hot dog but I won't be going with big expectations.

Food is okay, but not worth the wait

At 2:45 on a Thursday, I waited 35 minutes in line, then another 15 minutes to get my food. The burger was okay - nothing earth shattering - and it was VERY SALTY. I rate it 2.5 at best. If it wasn't so salty, I would have rated it a 3. The french fries were close to excellent, I would give it a 4.5 - would have given it a 5, but again, was too salty. Not as bad as the burger, but still too salty. The outside was nice and crisp, the inside was a nice mealy texture with a nice potato flavor. The coffee shake was pretty good - rate it a 4. Nice coffee flavor. I would not wait 50 minutes again though.

Stilettos heels not recommended unless you can take them off...

Sashayed in for a date with a fella and felt like a rock star in my candy red 5" stiletto heels and tight jeans. Saw the long line and decided I had to be a sport since I was with someone to impress. Waited so long in line my feet matched the color of my shoes. Was in a foul mood when I reached the counter, but took comfort in knowing I was in THE place to get a burger. Well, my man turned out to be a rotten date (no, I don't find your whistling cute), the people in line annoyed me (I heard a college girl brag she was smart to wear her Converse Sneakers! AND cast a glance my way), and the burger? Honey, it was fine but the beer was better after that wait. Next date is in a place with reservations and chairs. Girlfriend AIN'T at Citifield. I'll keep the stilettos and skip the college brats and cheap dates.

    Addicting

I went to Shake Shack for the first time last Monday. I have since been 3 times. I get the same thing, shack burger and fries. I can't put the burger down. I think there's liquid crack in the secret sauce. The fries have been hit is miss. One time hot and seasoned perfectly and another time cold and blank. No big deal. At 4.75 for that burger I think it's the best in the city and the perfect size.
