Let this critic tell you the truth
This place is buzzing. You have tourists, you have regulars and everyone in between. As I walked in I was greeted with nothing but friendliness from the staff..have any questions? Ask away. Let's get down to business..the burgers are amazing, the fries are crispy goodness and the shakes..reminds me of old school luncheonettes. I must say..you have to try a shakeshack burger ONCE in your lifetime..it's that good.

Shakes and burgers unlike any other!
I had the black and white shake, which was aaaammmmaaaazzziiinngg!! The burgers are juicy and the perfect size. There is plenty if seating and the lighting is very cool.

Used to be....
Used to be better! I fell in love with the burger I had at the 23rd street location. A nice little juicy beefy tasting burger on a potato bun, fresh lettuce and tomato, and tangy cheese. Fresh, Juicy...Yum! But no longer...the flavor has completely disappeared. The fries used to be warm, crispy and not greasy...now cold mushy and no flavor. The service is also sloppy. I ordered a shack burger to go and when I got home I got a bun, a patty with cheese and nothing else. I think now that they are established they have moved down to a lower rung of quality ingredients....like certain burger chains do. They used to be good and I used to be a customer.

Very Disappointed
We have come from the UK, being veggies, we read about the 'shroom' burger, with great delight....... However........ Someone had written in a previous review - "If you're a meat eater, try the 'shroom' burger".... Well, my review would be - "If you're a meat eater, don't try the 'shroom' burger, If you're a vegetarian, don't try the 'shroom' burger, If you're a human being, don't try the 'shroom' burger", I could go on here..... All I can say is - The hype is the best ever, never, ever, ever again.

Not as good as before!
Actually previous review by "Card" is Dead On! Discard my previous review...I take it back! The 1st time it was really good ...maybe cause the line wasnt that long and they had time to make the burger more juicy cause they werent rushing. Now they just Press them Hard on the grill and Kill the taste. Also sucks that Twice they've charged me EXTRA for sauce for the burger and not put it on even after I mentioned it to the manager! Why even charge for burger sauce in the first place? As if they arent making enough money in the 1st place! Also the cheese sauce for the fries sucks. It not worth the wait. Pressing down on the burgers really kills the burgers taste but the line is so long they dont have any choice. Pass on this and go to the Blarney Stone on 47th bet 8th and 9th.

Meh
Went there for lunch. Burger is good, but it does not blow you away. I've had better. Seriously, what's all the fuss about?

OMG! Best burger ever. Great fries too...amazing food! Wish it was open 24 hrs! Try the "shack stack" burger! Service is friendly too;) Stop reading this and go now!
