Great Shabu Shabu
Best shabu shabu in NYC. Nice atmosphere + social dining = A great place to take a date.

perfect place for dining experience
We have eaten dinner here 3 times and we are going back tonight! From the moment you walk in you are greeted by the smiling, friendly wait staff. The warm towels to wash your hands are the first indication that they want you to feel at home. The service is top notch ... the food is prepared perfectly and presented attractively. Run ... don't walk to Shaburi ... you will be glad you did.

Amazing Shabu2 & Sukiyaki
Last couple nights I went to one Japanese Shabu - Shabu restaurant. Actually my friend introduced me this restaurant.. First I step my foot in this restaurant I can feel the atmosphere.. Seems like having dinner in high class restaurant. Because of the decoration and situation.. So comfortable.... And they brought me to 2nd floor.. That is the fantastic place for couple who in love! I recommend you to sit in up stairs to make you girl/boy friend closer to you... ^^ The waiting staff is very polite.. And they always recommend about something that fresh and their favorite dish in this restaurant.. That is SHabu2 and Sukiyaki... I heard about shabu2 just few times but finally I tried it.. When I look at the menu, the price is little bit high.. But, I think this is good enough to have huge portion of Shabu2 that super enough for myself... I definitely will come back soon to this restaurant with my 10[%] off coupon...!!! haha I heard from the manager that they have special drinks and menu for Valentine event!! Hahaha See You Soon Shaburi!!! Ciaoo....

Still hungry...
Will definitely not be going back here...went with 3 friends and we were all starving after sharing 3 appetizers and 8 rolls. We actually ordered 2 sides of rice because we were so hungry. The avocado in our rolls was not ripe/very hard, there was barely any crab in our king crab roll. This was just overall disappointing, especially given how expensive everything was! We were the only table there and it still took our waitress 15 minutes to get us our check, she just stood there staring off into space.

Sushi hit the spot
I live around the corner from this place for a very long time, but finally tried it this week. I heard great things about the shabu shabu, but my party went for the sushi. The restaurant is very clean, and the decor was clean as well. What impressed me was the value for the atmosphere. I spent not much more than I normally would have for a neighborhood sushi place (probably the same if I didn't have 2 $4 diet cokes), but the presentation was much prettier. My friend ordered a basic salad and it was served elegantly with splays of shredded carrots, mixed greens and in a large bowl. We shared edamame, which arrived hot and well salted. I ordered the large sashimi and our table shared a few special rolls. The sashimi was served in a silver bowl on ice, for $24 it was easily the most beautifully presented sashimi plate I ever had in the price range. I have certainly eaten at upscale japenese places , but I was just impressed by the relative value. The fish was fresh all around. However, my friend had the basic sushi/roll combo and it was a little boring. The shared rolls we had were good (rainbow and red dragon), but arrived much later than our other plates of sushi. Our server was extremely polite, but it felt slow at times. Also, while it was clean, the bathroom smelled like a basement, not appetizing when you are eating! Overall, as I live near I would probably return if I wanted to sit somewhere relaxing in the neighborhood.

Delicious
My boyfriend and I went here last weekend. The service was wonderful and the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Kobe Beef and the Pork. The waiter showed us what to do and how long to cook the meat. The portions were enough to fill us up. The dipping sauces are to die for and the cocktails are refreshing. It did get kind of warm because of the steam from the pot. We will definitely be back soon.
