    love, love shabu shabu

I can't wait to return to Shabu-Tatsu. Eating Shabu Shabu with friends was such an enjoyable experience and everything was delicious. I especially liked cooking and eating the rib-eye beef. I gave atmosphere a 4.5 only because it is a small and crowded joint. Otherwise, everything was great! Be sure to go early or get a reservation.

    Fabulous and cozy!!

I went here with my sister and had the sukiyaki...and my my, it was great!! i was able to control how salty/sweet i wanted my broth to be, the food (beef, noodles, veggies) were awesome! I would not recommend getting an order of seafood because the portion is very small and not worth it. the staff was wonderful in making recommendations and attentive whenever we needed something extra. The price is very decent and well worth it for the location and the type of food. will definitely go back there again! also, try to come a lil early. i got there with my sister at around 5:30-6pm and the place was empty. Once 7pm hit, it was packed!!

    Great

I've eaten here twice, he food is delicious, the atmosphere is great as is the service. The food and cooking style is very korean inspired. instead of grilling the food you boil it. Delicious bi bim bop! Would recommend.

    Great with a group

I went here with a large group of friends for my birthday. The restaurant was accommodating and the food was good. A very fun experience.

    food for the soul

i've been to this restaurant many many times and i still love to go back. i always order the shabu shabu which is always great and the sauces for it are so yum. i always leave very full, but not in a "i feel disgusting" way. their shabu shabu is very healthy...just don't forget to keep skimming away the fat from the meat. also, don't forget to drink the broth at the very end~ it's like the asian style chicken noodle soup feeling.

    Not too Shab-by! Awesome!

I have been going here for years. Its best to go in the fall and winter because the steam from the tables warms up the place beautifully. Staff is warm and prompt, especially the charming Yoshi. It can fill up quickly as the spot isn't big so I suggest calling day of and reserving a table. I stick with the rib eye shabu and a bottle of cold sake. Great place for first date, make that second date...because the meal is involved (you prepare it yourself) if the date isn't going well you have plenty to distract you, Ha! Also, great table with two burner for larger groups...had a few bdays here. In closing, love it.
