We found Seven on MenuPages and decided to check it out for dinner before going to see DMB at MSG. Walked in to a warm, inviting lounge & bar area (they played Dave in honor of our event - nice touch). We were seated upstairs overlooking the bar area. Good view from upstairs. As for the food. The menu is more limited than what you see online. We both had fish. My BF liked his but mine was not too appetizing. It came with brussel sprouts, some kind of bacon that was very fatty, raw tuna (which was mushy) and mashed root veggies. I should have known better! After dinner we went to the bar for drinks. Had a lot of fun at the bar. Nice pre-show crowd. The apple margaritas were amazing! In my opinion - stick to just drinks at this place and if you can get a seat on one of the cozy velvet couches, all the better!

If you are hungry and looking for a good meal then i do not recommend Seven. If you are looking for a nice bar to have a cocktail, then this is a good option.

Whenever I go to Madison Sq Garden again, I will absolutely eat here. Very cozy and inviting. Exquisite food, great service, wonderful ambience. My grilled salmon was so delicious. Worth every penny. We got there around 4:00 for a late lunch, before the dinner crowd, and we were waited on hand and foot. A great restaurant. A very pleasant experience.

I work in the area and have often taken clients and colleagues to Seven for both lunch and dinner, and I've always received compliments on my choice. The food is 'special', the service attentive but not obsequious, and the facility well maintained and comfortable. You won't go wrong if you decide to give Seven a try.

When searching the internet for a restaurant the name Seven caught my eye. They have 6 entrees to choose from and they change daily. Selection was good but what we had thought about was not even a possibilty. Food was good and so was the service. We were close to the Garden and that was a plus. They did play Paul McCartney music in "honor" of his night. Our advice, if you are looking for something specific, check the menu before you are seated. Once in, you won't want to have to go out to the street for something else. Especially if you are going to a concert.

I've dined here many times and just love it. The nightly specials are especially creative and delish.
