If you enjoy waiting for misprepared food this is your place

If you're on an internet date skip it, if you are celebrating your friends birthday skip it, if you want to impress your boss skip it, if you are are wandering the streets hungry with your fiance I wish I had skipped it. Unfortunetly, we learned the hard way that this establishment deserves (pardon my lame expression "kudos" Top ten reasons this places blows: 1# fishy octupus sub par 2# order tuna rare and you'll get it well done #3 average wait time 40 mins between courses starting from your drink order on #4 tough veal #5 skimpy portions of goat cheese #6 kraft makes better potatos au gratin #7 I've heard better live music in a holiday inn express in Oklahoma #8 I've heard beter live music in a chain restaurant on the outskirts of Witchita #9 I'd rather think inside the bun then eat here #10 have I made myself clear? if not... #10b Do not eat here

Good food ruined by poor service

Yes, we were seated immediately...started to get a little nervous as the restaurant was empty on the evening of Fathers Day, 3 other tables with guests, but we figured it was late (8:30PM). We knew we were set for a bad experience when out waiter took our order and after 10 minutes came back to review what we ordered and he wasn’t even close to what was ordered, as he did not speak English very well. We then asked another waiter to take our order again. After waiting for 45 minutes we finally was served our drinks. Finally, after an hour of being seated our appetizers were served (incorrectly prepared). We also had to request bread for the table at that time. Our meal was finally brought out after being seated for over 1 ½ hours. When we were finally finished with our meals, the waiter did bring us out a complimentary scoop of sherbet and a very small piece of cake for the 'misunderstanding'...yes one scoop and small cake for the five of us. So, the food was good, but the service was inexcusable for an empty restaurant..a very bad way to end a wonderful day with my children for Father’s Day. My recommendation would be Plenty of places in New York offer quality food and take pride in the restaurant they work for not this one. And what really was shameful was that the owner, or manage was visiting other tables during the evening, but did not come close to our table.

    Top notch dining experience

It's such a treat to stumble on a new neighborhood place, particularly one of such caliber. We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and a dessert, and each dish surpassed our expectations. We especially recommend the tuna tartar and the duck 2 ways. Ambiance is nice, clasically Italian. The maitre d' was extremely warm and welcoming, constantly checking in on us and our meal. In an economy like this one, we've attempted to save our $ and cook more often than not. But next time we go out on the town, this is where we can be found.

    Great place to dine

We were looking at the menu in the window when we were approached by the restaurant's host. After a brief discussion, we decided to dine there. What a pleasant surprise! We each had the rack of lamb and it was excellent, as was the service. We will be back again.
