Go for the Frozen Hot Chocolate, but stay for a meal. The burgers are to die for, but stay away from the young chicken sandwich (yuck). The wait staff if A#1 but the hosts come with a dose of attitude. The wait times are over estimated so a 1 hr wait for a table might be 20-30 mins. Other WOW's are the lemon ice box pie and the carrot cake. Dinner for 2 with all the trappings $50, not to bad considering.

The reviewer below if obviously smoking crack. The Sundae's are monstrosities and delicious....always a treat. I've lived in New York all my life and no ice cream sundae can compare. This place is the staple for ice cream and frozen hot chocolate. Don't be fooled.

I searched this place out after a couple recommendations from friends who live in the city. I arrived with my two small children to a restaurant void of children. The wait staff were extremely nice and helpful. We order ice cream and the peanut butter frozen hot cocoa. Absolutely wonderful! Rich, thick and packed with flavor similar to a Reeses peanut butter cup! I can't speak for the entrees and remainder of the menu. It wasn't what we came for.

I decided to take my uncle to this place, after what I've heard about some celebrities like Lisa Kudrow & John Travolta who ate here. My uncle wasn't satisfied with the hot chocolate they served, which I paid almost 5 bucks for it. I ordered the ice cream sundae & it tastes like the ice cream sundae of McDonald's!! And I paid about $7 dollars for this ice cream sundae!! (ugh!) Anyway, about the waiter who served us, he was a very pleasant guy & I gave him a good tip. He was smiling a lot.

Very disapointed with the place. A waiter that pay no attention to our table at all. I guess since none of us were to his liking he gave no good service. The bossboy got us coffe and cake. To add insult to injury we were over charge. I was push from my chair by a waiter and asked to moved in a nasty manner. I could go on and on but I'm going to stop my self now. We don't recomend this place not even to use the bathroom witch was terrible.

I went to Serendipity 3 to meet someone for a newspaper interview. The food was great...(the frozen hot chocolates are to die for!)...Very appetizing, it catered to those with very different tastes, as well as those with more traditional palletes. The service was excellent, I received my food soon after I ordered it. I never had to wait more than two minutes for anything other than the food. The value was incredible, need I say more? The atmosphere was awesome, very hip and modern, a collage of different funky things, from chairs hanging on the ceiling to tiles on the table, the designs were very edgy, and at the same time, classy, creative and artistic. I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone who has a taste for modern art and good food.
