I had the Frozen Hot Chocolate - it was as good as advertised. You HAVE to order one. I had a Summer Bries sandwich too which was good. Yum.

A reservation is highly recommended for this gem of a restaurant because the lines can be long at times but still worth the wait. Patrons who do visit this wonderful establishment do so for its hefty portions of desserts and ice cream treats. If hungry then you can order the burgers and sandwiches which are tasty and satisfying but are going to ruin your appetite for the desserts which are the true stars of this place. For the ice cream lovers out there, then you can't go wrong with the "outrageous banana split" sundae. Or if you're in the mood for chocolate then the "chocolate blackout cake" will do the trick. One of my wife's personal sweet (buck) tooth favorite is Serendipity's signature drink called the "frozen hot chocolate" which is a shake that's blended with hot and cold ice cream. The only downside to this restaurant is the tight dining space on the two floors of an old-fashioned townhouse which seems even tighter after finishing a big meal here. In summary, make sure to save your appetite and make desserts as your choice of an appetizer, main course and of course more desserts. Ordering anything else would be a wasted trip here.

First, you don't have to wait if (1) you make a reservation (yes, they take them, and it is sort of cool to skip the line and be seated within 10 minutes of your arrival...) or (2) you are dining alone (there are two tables that only seat one, so there is no wait). Second, the food is amazing! Really, all you need is a plate of fries and some frozen hot chocolate. I have also had their omlettes, which are gigantic and excellent, and the blue cheese burger, which was by the one of the best burgers I have ever had. Last, remember you are not coming here to have 5-star service and a waiter doing nothing but scraping up after your crumbs. Its a fun, kid-oriented place, and it does its job.

I would recommend this restaurant to anybody. The Frozen Hot Chocolates are absolutely wonderful and the men that work here are even better. I would go just to look at them. The food was excellent and the service spectacular!

I despise children and tend to avoid any place where I know there will be a lot of them - thankfully, when I had lunch here there were no screaming brats. Instead, I got to enjoy the genuinely fun atmosphere and charming service from some very handsome waiters who are obviously actors. I had the caviar and sour cream omelet, which was just delicious - the cucumber on the side was a nice touch. But this place got its reputation from its signature Frozen Hot Chocolate and all the hype is true. What a devilishly delicious concoction - warm pudding with frosty chocolate and whipped cream. This is a melding of flavors and sensations that just has to be tasted. Amazing. If you can be lucky like I was and not have any screaming little mutants while you are there, this is a fun place.

The desserts are absolutely incredible, and most are big enought to share. The Frrrozen Hot Chocolate is awesome, the sundaes are huge, the banana split is amazing. On a four day trip, my group came here twice! Even though the wait is long and crowded, sign up. It's worth it.

This place is great!! The staff is really nice and the sundae's are to die for. If you are looking for a place appetizers GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! The nachos were horrible. It consisted of chips and hard melted cheese that needed to be cut with a knife. Other than that it was pretty darn good!
