The frozzzzen hot chocolate is sooo good, as are the sundaes and pecan pie!!! The wait can be super long, but on my last visit in early August the service was incredibly quick!!! Its a classic NY experience and I recommend it to everyone. The atmosphere is alive and buzzing all the time!. I saw danny devito and his wife there too!!

Been here a couple of times, a bit of a wait to get in but fun talking to people in line. It's a show - that's for sure. Loved the ambience and service was great along with the fabulous choc. drink. A bit pricey, but worth it. Just another NYC experience and I'd go here again.

3 words, Frozen hot chocolate! Need me to say anymore? It's probably the best damn chocolate drink ever made! Serendipity is a nice place to just chill out. The food is ok, but I think it's pricey. The decor is pretty nice. But prepare to wait on long line to get in! And you definitely have to have at least 1 frozen hot chocolate there.

The atmosphere from the bathroom to the menus and tiffany lamps is unique and enjoyable. The place is cozy and crowded, so not a place to go if you are looking for a quiet environment. If you are going for taste or service you may be disappointed. I have been five times and each time wasn't too impressed. My friends and I have had the Frozen Hot Chocolate, which is tasty, but nothing special. Compare it to a Wendy's Frosty. Last night I went for an Oreo Express and knew it was my last time. I had three drinks of sour-tasting ice cream and the rest was whipped cream. I have never sent food back in my life, but felt this deserved attention. Laughingly, I asked the waiter if he knew that it was only half full of ice cream. He disagreed and got the manager. The manager said he knew it was made correctly and I was "ridiculous" and "he couldn't believe me," rolled his eyes and walked off. He came back and slammed the check on the table. My friends and I sat with our mouths hanging open in shock.

On Saturday Night I had my Senior Prom at the Marriott. So, me and three friends went there for some dessert at around 2am. I had shared a frozen hot chocoalate with my boyfriend. The other couple has a 3scoop sundae. The desserts were great, A little pricy but that is the way the city is. We had no wait on line but it was 2am so that is probably why. I recommend the frozen hot chocoalate..but its a lot so you might want to share one. id recomend this place to anyone.

the desserts are quite wonderful! i only come there to look at the goodlooking waiters and to eat the desserts. Skip the meal and save those calories for the dessert! its a little expensive for dessert, but its sort of worth it. its a wonderful place to spend a good amount of time in, and beware bceause the wait to enter might get long!

This place is simply the best, sure on a saturday nite they will tell you 2 hours for a table but check back in and you will be surprised. most of the time its 45 minutes to an hour, which is nothing for the best food ever. I have been going here religously for 7 years. The food is consistently amazing always perfect. The desserts are always great. The food stands out, since I have dined here probably over 100 times I have tried everything on the menu. My advice on what to get are young chicken sandwhich, catcher in the rye and my personal favorite the haight ashbury, which has turkey tomato alfalfa sprouts avacado and melted munster cheese. The bread here is amazing like nothing you have ever had. They have all types and its great..definately check this place out and become a regular here its not just all tourists trust me as someone who has been coming here for 7 years
