My mother, myself, and my aunt went here late one afternoon. We had no reservations but waited less then 10 minutes. We only shared a plate of french fries so I can't say how the entree's are but the fries were good. The desserts though...they were out of this world! We got the Frrrrrozen Hot Chocolate and the Forbidden Broadway Sundae. They were some of the best desserts I've ever had. Considering it's a restaurant in the City they are quite reasonably priced. Anyone who thinks they aren't hasn't experience many NYC eateries. I can't wait to go back again!

The Golden Opulent Sundae was to die for! OMG, u must ask them for this dessert. It is simply the best. They use real gold strips and caviar and many other things...a must have!

My husband and I visit New York City several times a year and we make Serendipity a "must stop" on all of our NYC trips. The Frozen Hot Chocolate is the very best dessert in this USA. No matter how cold it is outside, the Frozen Hot Chocolate is worth the chills you get waiting for a table. Yum Yum.

Haven't gone yet for food. Routinely go for desserts -- we highly recommend the sand tart sundae. The place is always crowded and noisy and cheerful, with friendly servers and lovely decorations. However, the desserts are expensive and the wait can be quite long. No takeout allowed.

I celebrated my birthday here with my daughter, granddaughter and other friends. We had reservations, so the wait was not a problem. The desserts are definitely the star. The lunch was so-so. I think that once is enough.

Well we waited in line for 2 1/2 hours while it was freezing and snowing. The waiter kept reminding everyone OUTSIDE that it was cold and to keep the door closed! The food is very high priced and hot. It was pretty good. The frozen hot chocolate is very good, a unique experience. I don't think I would go again without reservations well in advance. The atmosphere is very New York.

My friends and I went to serendipity on dec 18th for my 17th birthday. Their were six of us, of course I made resverations a little over a month in advance. When we walked in, it was sooo great. We were seated immediately, if you plan on going, make reservations! The service was great. The food wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It was very good. My friends and I all ordered different desserts so we can all share. Since it was my birthday the waitor put candles on my frozen hot chocolate and everyone sang to me. It was an amazing experience. I am definitely going back.
