    meh

food is ok but as others have pointed, fresh is not their thing. The cleanliness was also questionable (it isn't a big place so not sure why it was so messy) the squash soup is pretty great but there are so many other much better cafes in PS to check out.

    Great Experience

I really don't understand the bad reviews! They have a great selection of good food with the ingredients listed. I had absolutely no problem with the service, quite the opposite. Great coffee, too. I will definitely going back, and I'm looking forward to when I have enough time to sit outside.

    fresh food?

This place should be great. The neighborhood needs it and the location is perfect. I've tried and tried again to believe it's decent, but it just really isn't. The deli food is exactly the same, day after day, month after month- and sometimes I'm pretty sure it is actually the same food. Several times I've had things from Second Helpings that were not fresh, and indeed possibly on the edge. Not recommended. Staff not exactly warm.

Second Helpings for a great meal!

I've been going to this cafe and organic juice bar since they opened eight years ago and they have been consistant with high quality food. They have organic and local ingredients in some of there dishes which I am partial to-Really, there is nothing that comes close to it in the hood, for the price. They also have fish and chicken dishes as well as superb vegetarian options. It is a casual place, so don't expect romantic atmosphere- just serious food and juice. The way the hood is going, I am grateful to have a natural food establishment that cares about it's product, customers and the environment.

    Decent wraps, good fries.

Great organic french fries, decent wrap sandwiches, overpriced entrees. Baked goods are pretty lacking. Terrible for eating there, really only good for take out. It's a shame it isn't a better place, cause it's a good location, and the only place like it around there.

    Disapointing

I always expect this place to be good, but its really just for take out. They don't make custom orders, and give you tiny paper plates as if they don't want you eating there at all. Although the place is pretty big, they aren't many tables. Every time I walk in, I'm disappointed. Expecting something good, and getting plain tofu thats over cooked with a large serving of attitude on the side. I've been at least 3 times, expecting it to be a better expeirence.
