Great place..
I love this place! I kept hearing great things about this place and finally ended up going and the experience was very rewarding. The food was delicious, pad thai is my all time "safe" main course choice but I have yet to explore more. The calamari and tum-tim fritters are awesome appetizers with tasty sauces. The atmosphere is very hip with a reflecting pool in the middle and candles at nightime. And also dont forget to take advantage of their lunch specials before 3:30pm. You have to ask them for the lunch menu though coz they don't just give it to you. The service is not bad at all. Overall it's awesome food for a great price! End you meal with a delicious dessert!

Loved it
I went while visiting friends and had read about it on-line. We were all three very pleased with our meals. I would give it a 5 in food, but two of us ordered dishes with calamari in them and both were rubbery. Now I know calamari is hard to cook so that didn't bother me,, my order had a seafood assortment, and the scallops were wonderful so it more than made up for the calamaries! My friend sent his dish back, since he had asked for a soupy dish, and I'm guessing the waiter didn't understand the request, since it was a dry type seafood on spiced rice they brought out. He was disappointed, and we sent back, and he got the salmon curry instead, which was wonderful, and he was VERY pleased. The atmosphere is great! I'll for sure be going back. Oh and the toilets are unique also!

Ditto on Georgia's review
My wife thought I wrote Georgia's review on 09/09/2005. I have to say that is our same experience as well. We live about a block away, get the lunch special about 2 times a week, have eaten everything on the menu and have the phone number programmed in our cell. This is the best Thai food we have had throughout the city or our travels. Since we like Thai food a lot, we try lots of Thai restaurants and have yet to eat somewhere else that equals Sea's standards.

My favorite thai
I live a few blocks from Sea, and i order from them at least twice a week. The food is delicious and consistent...the prices are decent, and i always know i'm gonna get something good even if i have no idea what the dish is. I don't eat at the actual restaraunt a lot, (loud house-type music) but the lunch special is awesome. I'm about to order right now. This food is so good, i have their number programmed on my cell phone.

It's a great place to go in NYC!
The service was good as well as the atmosphere. I was in town for a week and I was there 3 times! I recommend this place to anyone who goes to NYC.

Not recommended
Sea is crowded and so the waiters try to get you out of the door as soon as you finish you meal (or before you even finish, as it happened with me). The food is ok, nothing special.

Tasty but too oily
I think all the people who rave about the food here are either addicted to the smokey oil flavor or don't have a clue... Real authentic Thai food aren't this oily.
