Fun place, so so food
Most of the dishes I've tried were delicious but they are generally too sweet and oily. Moreover they all taste very similar to each other probably due to them using satay sauce in almost every dish. I go there once in a while with friends for for the cheery atmosphere, not really for food.

Nice
This place is great, for a dinner in the city. I recommend it. The food is great, the drinks are a little interesting but OK. The atmosphere is great as well. Try it out!

Overall review of Sea Thai Bistro
I enjoyed the food very much and the prices for the food dishes are reasonable. However, the prices for non-alcoholic drinks e.g. Thai ice-tea goes for $3.00, are expensive. If you are seated in the middle dinning area the lighting is great. If you're seated by the walls e.g., a party, the lighting is very poor and it is diffcult to read the menu. In addition, there are only 2 toilets for women, which are only semi- private i.e., a curtain seperates the toilets. For a restaurant this size, there sould be at least 4.

Pad thai
The pad thai was a bit too sweet. the williamsburg branch of this restaurant is much better, and they have a pad thai dish that sans noodles that i really like.

Sadly,
This place used to be top notch, even for the prices. Now my pad thai is dry and sticky. Hopefully theres a turn around in store..

Prices
What is up with this place? They cram you in there like sardines. I found my dinner there to be pretty mediocre. The sauces were all sweet and one dimensional. I was not blown away by any of the dishes I had. Yeah, the prices are cheap, that's what attracted me here. But, I guess you get what you pay for.

A little Bangkok in Manhattan
I've eaten at many thai restaurants throughout the city and I've got to say that The Sea Thai Bistro is probably the best on many levels. Both food and value rank among the best in NY. The atmosphere for this small but intimate setting restaurant is unique and pleasureable. The 20min wait for a table was expected by it appeared that service was moving along nicely and folks didn't seem to be waiting long for any part of the service. If you enjoy seafood this place is for you and I recommend on your initial visit to order the Chu Chee Crispy Fish, the mildly spicy sauce doesn't overtake the taste of the Salmon. Also try the Martini Sprimp to start.
