This place has a pleasing atmosphere for all ; no matter what your mood or ocassion might be. The food always great & best of all the price is more than resonable.

    Decet Food, Poor Service

I went not to long ago for lunch with a friend and must say the service was pretty bad. He took forever to take our orders. There was hardly anyone in there at the time but service was so slow. However my food was decent. I always get the Fried rice dish with beef and ginger. It really good to me. Anyway after our meal I tried forever to get the attention of the waiter to get our check. I left money with my lady friend to pay including a decent tip while I went to the rest room. When I came out she told me the waiter snatched the money out her had and didnt say thanks or anything. I then tried to look for the fool but I guess he must have took a break the very time. Anyway, do not dine here if you are really into service. You will be annoyed.

    Horrible experience

A friend had heard great things about Sea so we went to check it out. The atmosphere was strange, we couldn't help but feel like they were trying way too hard. We waited forever for a waiter to take our order. When he finally did he walked away from us mid-order. When he returned we finished ordering and asked for drink menus since no one had given them to us yet. The waiter did not return to take our drink orders until after our appetizers had arrived. In a party of four, three of us were served dinner and our food grew cold while we waited for the fourth meal to be served about ten minutes later. Our drinks arrived after our meal and to top it all off the food wasn't that good! We left the waiter a poor tip and he seemed genuinely pissed at us and confronted me about it. When I told him that his service was awful he violently cleared our water glasses as if to say "get the hell out." I complained to the hostess and manager who were apologetic. Overall if was terrible, I'll never go back and I don't suggest that anyone make the trip to try this place out.

    Not worth it

We went here the other night and I cant say I was impressed. The place looks nice, no doubt. We had no reservations, so understandably we had to wait for about 20 mins before we got seated. There truly is a very nice ambiance. The service was incredibly slow. Poor, unprofessional and something to be ashamed of if you would run that place. We were seated right near the bar. My friend ordered a cocktail and it took them 30 mins to make it. After that it sat there for another 25 minutes until they brought it over. We just wanted to walk behind the bar and get it ourselves. Whenever we would need something, it would take forever to find someone to provide some proper service. The waiters truly are nowhere to be found. In addition to that, I had the Queen of Siam Basil Chicken, and it was so incredibly salty I had to stop eating because the salt was burning away my mouth. We asked for the bill and saw that they automatically add a 20 % gratuity. Now you know why the service was so severely poor. Why work for a tip at you are gonna get anyway. Go in there to take a look at the interior at the most. Dont bother spending your money here. It would be better to just throw your money away. Its not worth it!

    Awesome food

I love this place its amazing I recommend it to all my friends and co-workers. One of my ex boyfriends introduced me to sea and I've been in love ever since. The food is great and the atmosphere is beautiful. The only con is customer service all depending on which server you get. Other than that I would recommend this place to everyone.

    what's the hype?

I don't understand these positive reviews. I went there on a Saturday, when it was reasonably busy, and our food took forever to come out. When it did it was cold and boring. The decor could be considered fun but if you don't want to eat blah-tasting Thai in very dimly lit and loud indoor amusement park type setting, then I suggest going almost anywhere else.

    Good food, poor service

As a local who was born and raised in Greenpoint, I was intrigued by the reviews. The reviews on the food were on point, because I wasn't disappointed. But the service is poor. I've been here a few times and will not be going back. My last time (today) consisted by one person in our party never being served and they didn't even apologize! All I can say is I still miss Moonshadow (if you are a local, u know what I am talking about) and I'll stick to the Thai Cafe.
