Sea Thai Bistro

I absolutely love Thai food, so this was a special treat of a restaurant to attend, with, as another reviewer said, quite impressive decor for such cheap prices. I ordered the medium spicy curry chicken, which was delicious, abundant, and not at all heartburn-inducing. The service was kind, quick, and efficient, so I felt more than catered to. Definitely returning for spicier fare.

Guaranteed, you're going to have to wait possibly over 1 hour on Fridays and Saturdays, but it's worth it if you like to drink. No reservations for small parties. Hang out at the bar and keep your eyes on the ticker. This place serves up your dishes fast - they operate like a well oiled machine. Consistently typical Thai food: very sweet dishes, very low prices, lots of fun. My friends and I like to eat family style - so everyone shares everything and we order a lot! The most important thing to watch out for is seating for large parties, they sometimes seat 6 or more on benches without backs - and that would be my only complaint, because I like to lean back. Insist on chairs. Besides that, its a wonderful, large and busy restaurant, lots of mixed crowds and worth the ride to Williamsburg. Mon, Tues, Wed its quieter and a good spot for a date.

I went here a while go, and judging by the decor i thought it was going to be expensive, but me and two friend got out of there for under 35 bucks . . food was pretty good, i had the spicy red curry with tofu, and my boyfriend had the drunken noodles (which I will get if I go again) which were pretty damn good. spring rolls weren't great, but whatever. the service was good, and faster than i expected.

I've visited Sea on serveral occassions as well as recommended friends and family. The food is great and the atmosphere is spendid! Avoid Fridays/Saturdays late night after 6pm at least 2 hrs wait time. The salads are so fresh and tasty and an all out evening with that special person very romantic setting. A great place to propose to that special person.

Everything is fine and dandy....until you roll in with a lot of people. Crowded! The majority of the staff there usher you in, and then hawk you, trying to get you out the door as soon as possible to accompany more customers. The wait for a 15 seater was unbelievable, even with a prior reservation. They force you to choose food from a pre-party menu with bad prices. We were outside at 7, eating dessert at 11:30. All in all, the food was mediocre, service was alright, and the place felt like one huge asian art gallery. My advice: dont go there with large groups. Great to take a date out, the bartenders are knowedgable and fantastic. They have live DJs, and if you make a prior reservation, the night is almost seamless.

This place was so nice, the bathrooms and faucets where so uniquely made. The food was good. The atmosphere is very nice and decorative, almost looks like a club or lounge. All tables are lit by Candles, kinda romantic but also great to go with friends, and the thai ice tea is very good.
