Sea Thai Bistro

As a local who was born and raised in Greenpoint, I was intrigued by the reviews. The reviews on the food were on point, because I wasn't disappointed. But the service is poor. I've been here a few times and will not be going back. My last time (today) consisted by one person in our party never being served and they didn't even apologize! All I can say is I still miss Moonshadow (if you are a local, u know what I am talking about) and I'll stick to the Thai Cafe.

Sea Thai Bistro is by far the best Thai restaurant I have ever been too! The decor is amazing, the staff is friendly and quick and the food is to die for! The location in the city is smaller, has plain decor and not as good service or food - I think so at least. Stick with the one in Williamsburg and you can't go wrong!!! It is also great for out of town guests - good atmosphere for them and great food at cheap prices which every New Yorker and Visitor will appreciate!

Sea is a fun place to go to and have dinner and/or drinks. Food isn't excellent but it’s very reasonably priced. Great place to have fun with a big group of people. For dessert the molten chocolate cake is wonderful. Great atmosphere!

The food is not good... I am asian and I been to almost every Thai restaurant in NYC. The ambiance is beautiful though and the people.... lots of em. Service is pretty good, but it's not worth it cuz the food jus sux.

Given the amount of people this place serves on any given night, it's pretty phenomenal how fast and efficient the service is at Sea. Sure, you won't find many locals in here (they're all eating free Pizza at Capone's), but the amalgamation of all types of NYers and NJers makes this place a great alternative to other overpriced and pretentious spots in the area. As for the food is flavorful and spicy, with most items coming in at around $10. The entrees are mostly delicious, especially the fluffy curry puffs and crispy calamari. Just be aware that you are much better off dining at Sea on a weekday, as the wait on weekends is pretty much unbearable. Sea is also an ideal place to take a 1st date. Just don't tell your companion you got out of there for under $40.

The first time I went to SEA I was amazed at how 4 ppl had appetizers, drinks, entree and dessert all for under 150 bucks. The food and drinks were great and the prices even better. I've tasted almost everything on their many at many occasions and nothing was ever bad. I recommend their siamese and pineapple friend rice. All their desserts are great. I highly recommend this place for first dates, girl or guys night out, anytime.
