Best Chinese in area!
Always have a great meal here. It is a small place but I always manage to get a seat. The best time to go is for lunch because you get a lot of food for a great price.

Eat elsewhere.
Food is mediocre and definitely not worth having to deal with the incredibly rude staff. Don't even bother...there are way better Chinese/Japanese restaurants nearby!

pleasantly surprised
On a Sunday night, my wife had a desire for chineese food. These days we eat chineese food infrequently. Usually we find it at best, too oily. I searched menupages in the gramercy and LES area and 2 sea king seemed to have the most consistant positive reviews, Rightfully so. The order for delivery was taken carefully with no attitude and repeated. Delivery was made in under 20 minutes and as noted by others, perfectly hot. The food, the sauces, the quality were all well beyond average and for $31.00 we will have enough for a repeat tomorrow night. well done.

Fantastic, Creative dishes
I work very close to 2 Sea King, and ordered based on a recommendation-- was definitely not disappointed, and this has become my go-to place for great Chinese food! Love their mango chicken!! And their portions are so generous! One caveat-- they put shrimp in their wontons, egg rolls, dumplings, etc, so if you're allergic, make sure you ask first-- I even found shrimp in the spring roll.

Good Food, bad service
The food is exellent and they give you great porportions for the money paid. I have to agree that the hostess could use some better manners. The actual waitresses are very nice though. Enjoy the food.

Avoid!
I live across the street and I used to eat in and order take out alot. However, after several bad meals, I must admit that this has changed. The sushi is no longer fresh and it seems that the only spices they use is salt and garlic. The hostess is just plain rude and acts like she is doing you a favor for sitting you. Avoid!

disappointment
i have been searching for good quality chinese food in this area since sam's noodle bar on 28th street closed. chose this place because it received the best customer reviews. ordered takeout, food arrived quickly, service was pleasant. food was hot but extremely mediocre. broccoli and rice were overcooked. dumplings were doughy and gummy. i was disappointed.
