    Pretty, But Lacking

First -- this place is not worth waiting to eat at. I pretty much only go there when I walk by and see that there's zero wait. With that said, I'd say the food is reliable and decent, but really nothing special. I also find that whenever I go I'm always struggling to find something that I really really want to order. Other than the food, the ambience can be very nice especially when it's not crowded.

    Cramped, crowded and subpar

Cool has been a word commonly used to describe this sliver of a space in previous reviews. I guess it is cool, if you think cool is: Waiting 1/2 hour for a table. Sitting with freezing cold air blowing on you from the door being opened and closed non-stop. Other people's butts and constant motion past your table cause you to hunch continuously through out your meal. Unfresh olive oil with your bread. Gristly leg of lamb and dry potato gratin. If this sounds like it's up your alley, ROCK ON!

Little taste of jersey in da LES

Uh...wait a minute - you call this cool? How did that happen so quickly? The LES was pretty dope until a second ago. Schiller's has taken a sharp turn in its atmosphere by becoming a floking ground for the bridge and tunnel crowd. Waiting a couple hours for a seat is no longer worth it. Neither is the overpriced menu. If you get in for breakfast or lunch you can still enjoy how well decorated the place is, but past 6pm you'll be too distracted by bad suits and hairspray to enjoy your so-so meal. You're better off at pastis.

    Great eats and vibe

I took my dad here when he was coming in from out of town and he loved it, as I always do. There's great food and a great atmosphere that is friendly and young and just a tad of sauce.

Cool place, not so much space

Definitely a trendy spot with a see and be seen type of crowd with cheap, good wine and great good. My friends got fish and loved it and I was very satisfied with my tasty burger and shoestring fries. Even with a reservation we waited over an hour, which was frustrating because there is no waiting area. We were bumped into and stepped on repeatedly. The bar crowd spills over into the seated dining area, leaving very little room to sit back and relax once you do finally sit down. But despite our tiny table and knees banging into each other because of the limited space, we had a great time without spending too much. Plus, Julia Stiles was there :)

    Pefect for jetlag

What a pleasant surprise! Walking down Rivington at 8pm is a neutral experience. By coincidence we went into Schiller?s. A total change from the outside. Great atmosphere, casual friendly service and GREAT food.. a bargain. The best tuna steak. Obviously it looks like Pastis but the feeling is much better. Go there.

    Wonderful

We loved Schiller's Liquor Bar. We had a nice lunch and the food was excellent. We had a wonderful drink that was a Sparkling Mango. My friend and I had a wonderful food experience here. We were visiting from Arkansas in October and are planning to eat here again this year when we visit the city. We can't find Mango Liquor so naturally we will have to come back for that wonderful drink.
