    bad menu changes

I used to order from here constantly but then they stopped making the eggplant parmesan. Why? It was so good. I haven't ordered again in years. Why get rid of one of your only reasonably priced and filling entrees?

    Pity about the food!

Great atmosphere, but the food is just not good. Want to love the food with each course, but it started of pretty bad with the octopus ceviche and never really recovered. Would definitely go back for a drink at the bar, but unfortunately, not for the food.

    Delivery success

I was craving steak last night (saturday at 10pm ) and ordered the steak frites with au poivre sauce and a cob salad. Arrived before the quoted 60-75min delivery time which was great!!!!! (understandable estimate on a sat night too ) and I was so impressed to find my steak perfectly cooked at med rare as I asked and the frites still crispy! Delicious and I will definitely order delivery again. Thanks schillers for saving my sat nite :)

    Decent food

This is more about scene, which isn't a bad thing. A lot of people who couldn't get into other hot-spots, so the crowd is a bit weird.

    Always good

Schiller's is one of my favorite restaurants. It's the pick for takeout, brunch, and dinner quite often. A perfect neighborhood gem that is consistently good.

Keith McNally Wake Up!! Schiller's is killing your brand!

I have been a long-time loyal fan and diner at all the Keith McNally restaurants. Unfortunately, I've seen the slide at Schiller's occur over the last few years. Is anyone in corporate paying attention to Schiller's?! The food is just ok now and the service and attitude is embarrassing (for the McNally brand). The hostesses are copping way too much attitude for what the restaurant has to offer now. When the tables are empty, you just can't continue to cop an attitude to the few remaining idiots who continue to come and spend their money there. In a practically empty restaurant yesterday, the hostess forced our party to sit at the bar since we were only have drinks and snacks. Now WHY would you force us to do that when we asked if we could snack/drink at an empty table?! Dumb dumb dumb. It creates a lot of ill will and makes for an unpleasant experience for all in the party --- something that Schiller's could not afford at this point. It would not surprise me if Keith is considering turning off the lights on this one in the franchise. It's beginning to smell of failure.....which might have something to do with the unsupervised poorly-managed staff running the shop here at Schiller's. Sad to see it and say it but it time to take the shotgun out and put this one out of it's misery.

    what's going on, Schillers?

I've been disappointed more and more by the food at Schillers over the last 4 years. It used to be a reliable place for a great burger. The last few burgers we've had there have been clearly frozen until thrown on the grill, then served to us charred or nearly charred on the outside and raw inside, regardless of whether we ordered them medium-rare or medium. At least the fries are still good. On top of that, it's been difficult to get anyone's attention to get a table, order, get some ketchup, or even get our bill-- in the middle of the afternoon, when tables are empty and things are relatively slow. So, what's going on? Probably won't bother trying Schillers again for at least another year.
