Feels like Italy
I have tried many restaurants in the city and this was one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever tried! I have also lived in Italy and this restaurant by far surpasses my expectations of Italian food and restaurant ambiance. Atmosphere is quiet. You can dress up or dress down, they don't discriminate altho you will feel more fit in if you dress up a little. I went to a French restaurant a few days before and the atmosphere was snobby and stuffy and the food was not to expectations given the price. This seemed cheap in comparison. Highly recommended!

Free coffee
We went for business dinner there this winter. I liked that the place was so quiet; it is very rare for New York. Food was of excellent quality, but nothing really special or inventive. I would say it was one of the best examples of Italian home cooking. The service was annoying. We could not concentrate on our conversation because a waiter interrupted us numerous times asking if everything was all right. That was too much indeed. The most amazing was the end of the dinner when he asked if we would like coffee, we did not and he said: May be you do not understand (my boss and I both speak with accent): IT?S FREE! I do know how to comment on this.

Unreal Experience
One of the best dining experiences of my life. Service is superb and the food prepared in a beautiful setting was a simply wonderful experience. Kudos to the Chef/Owner and his staff in replicating the well deserved reputation he brings along from the Garden State. Don't miss eating the risotto and the chocolate desserts! Enjoy it as I did!

An evening to remember
This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The food was fantastic, the drinks were perfect, the service was bar none. Tables are not cramped at all as in many other NYC restaurants. The egg yolk ravioli, shrimp dishes are phenomenal. Not to mention all the little freebie dishes they give you with your meal. An expensive meal, but well well well worth it.

very good
this restaurant was very good...the atmosphere was spectacular. you were not cramped at all...people have plenty of private space. the service is tremendous...there are numerous waiters floating around for your every need. i would highly recommend the egg yolk ravioli with truffle butter sauce...it was definitely the best italian meal i've had in NYC, and i frequent little italy, scalinatella, and campagnola! be prepared to pay, but it's a pre-fixe menu, so there are no hidden charges. with wine and tip it will probably cost around $200 per couple, but you must realize that you have to pay up for such a tremendous experience. remember, you get what you pay for.
