best pizza around... forget the hype
if you live in brooklyn you've definitely heard of great pizza, but for me, savoia is the winner... not only are there more options, but the options are more sophisticated. the crust at savoia's is perfect. every pizza i've had has been amazing. i prefer the pizzas that don't have tomato sauce because the sauce makes the middle of the pie soggy. try the prosciutto pie.

Great Spot
My bf and I come here almost every week for dinner. The atmosphere is great - amazing people watching. The service is good and the help from the staff when picking a wine is pleasant surprise. I love all the food - you must get the proscuitto and fresh mozzarella. Amazing. Prices are very reasonable. We will continue to come back.

get the meat lasagna!
I haven't tried anything other than the lasagna, but let me tell you it's AMAZING. The service is iffy, but the food, price and atmosphere are all perfect. Totally worth it. I'm going tonight!

The best Italian restaurant in Brooklyn
As a new brooklynite from Manhattan I'm thrilled to have found a "go to" Italian restaurant that's more delicious than any in the city. Each time I've been, I've had a wonderful time - the service is great, the atmosphere is laid back, cozy, but classy. Almost every waiter or waitress i've had there has been from a foreign country, which leads to interesting conversations and fun guess-the-accent games. The food is filling and delicious, and always savory and well-spiced, but not overly so. Great desserts. Attentive staff. Cozy atmosphere and friendly patrons. From the Pizza to gnocchi, the wine list. The homemade foccacia, everything is satisying and the prices are fantastic. Authentically Italian, even my Neopolitan friend thought the pizza was great. Go eat.

Mediocre food. Not good service
Slow with the menus. Forgot our drinks. Ran out of pizzas. Fine. Then the cornish hen dinners we ordered didn't have the included polenta. Had to ask them if it was missing. "Oops. We ran out". Guess they forgot to tell us when ordering. Didn't offer anything to replace the polenta. And in fact told us we could order something on the side but would have to pay for it extra. Nice. Overall the waiter was rude. The food was mediocre. Having read the other reviews we expected something special. But after having experienced the "best Italian neighborhood restaurant" for ourselves, we have a hard time believing that these reviews were written by real customers. Certainly won't be coming back.

The best Italian neighborhood restaurant
We've just tried it and we loved it. The pizzas were fantastic and the pesto pasta was the best I've eaten in years. We have two small children and the service couldn't be more accomodating and friendly.
