    Review of delivery

Forgot 2 things out of 5 on our order. Lasagna was 2 bites (literally). Garlic bread is one piece. They do not have delivery together - easily the poorest delivery experience i've ever had. The food was solid; meatballs & sausage great, polenta watery, garlic bread tasty, don't know about kale salad because we never got the dressing. Honestly this sours me on their whole empire and makes me sad, because i've been going to Lil' Frankies for years and the person who delivered the food was very nice.

not as good as i hoped

on a recent visit for a birthday dinner we went to Sauce after reading reviews on this site. well i don't know who wrote them but the food was pizza parlor quality at best. the roasted meat platter seemed like slices of deli meat with a gloppy sauce on top. guests were served a dish that actually came in a cooking pot. perhaps in another setting this idea could work, but not in this instance. if i want poor food on oval pizza parlor plates i would go to a pizza parlor. but for all the great decor it lacked.

    Excellent

I came to Sauce by accident a month or so ago, I think on opening weekend, when my reservation at Supper got messed up and we were sent to this new place. This is another sister restaurant of Supper and Frankie's, and it is just as good, if not better. The food was so homey and delicious- Italian comfort food at its best. I felt like I was eating Sunday dinner at grandma's. Our server said she would "take care of us" and ordered family style for our large table. It was the perfect amount of food (well, we are all piggies so probably more than we really needed), and incredibly well-priced. I am looking forward to going back soon!
