    Very Nice Time

Very good drinks, I believe one of the best margaritas I have ever had. Though the waiter clearly had problems with the English language, we tried two specials that were wonderful (if they have it try the trout) I was surprised at what a lovely time we had. This is one nice little restaurant.

Best on the Upper West Side

I have been going to Santa Fe now for about 7 years. I always enjoy the food, the margaritas, and the staff. Now, I just about flipped when I came in one night and found out that they have a new Chef. I tried one of the specials and just loved it. I think the new direction this classic UWS restaurant is going is fantastic. You have to try the margaritas.

    Old Dog, NEW Tricks !

As a longtime neighborhood resident, I have always avoided this place except for drinks. I felt that the food was uninspired and am always suspicious of a restaurant that NEVER changes its menu. One night last week, with a friend who "felt like a Margarita" we decided to give this place a try. I was told by the (rather cute) bartender that they had Specials and just hired a new Chef who is known for this kind of food. We decided to sit down rather than eat at the bar and I ordered this Tuna dish with an amazing rice. The rest of the menu was more or less the same but I was assured (by the cute bartender) that this will change drastically in the weeks to come. If this is an example of the kind of food they WILL be serving, I WILL be back.

    Awesome Tex Mex Food

This restaurant has been on the UWS for at least 15 years, moving to the current location a few years ago. I freaked out because I thought that they closed, like a few others around here. I have never had a bad meal here, ever. If you're in the mood for a burger try the Santa Fe burger on an english muffin with cheddar: nice, thick, juicy, spicy (adobo sauce), and the fries are perfectly crisp. My other favorite, the New Mexican Pepper Steak is beyond compare Tender peppered filet mignon. Yum! The quality so far has always been consistently fresh and good. It's one of my favorites places to order in from after a long days work. Santa Fe has to be one of the best in the city.

    Very tasty

We were looking for some solid Mexican food on the Upper West Side, and we found it at Santa Fe. The chipotle chicken and the chimichanga dishes were delicious, the service was friendly and fast, and the spot was cute and peaceful. Highly recommend!

    Great service, ok food

The service here is excellent and the restaurant is so cute inside. But the food, while it is good, it's a little bit expensive for what you are getting. If you need a place to eat before an event at Lincoln Center or an area venue, this is a nice choice. It's classy and low-key, unlike many other "trendy" overpriced eateries in the area. Try it, you won't be dissapointed, but you may have had better for less $.
