Pressure on the UES pushed out many small neighborhood restaurants like Dakshin, the name of Sanskriti's previous location. So, the restrateur decided to move to Brooklyn. It was my fav Indian there and seeing the gift of the great food here was a real up. What I most loved and continue to appreciate is the exquisite execution of individual dishes. With plentiful portions and attentive service, give yourself the gift, you just might break out into a Raga.

Favorite Indian in park slope, easily. Very happy to have this pretty new place. Fresh, pretty authentic stuff. They have idli and sambar:) Very friendly. Cramped. If you are prepared for that, then you will enjoy. Nice decor. Love the big Ganesh.

This restaurant location has changed hands quite a bit recently, but I hope this incarnation lasts! Lots of vegetarian (with dairy or without) choices. The food was fresh and very nicely spiced and the service was friendly. I got the lunch special, which was a great deal. It's a cramped space, but they've hung up some beautiful photos of India which create a nice ambiance.
