What a delight
The sandwiches here are great. I've been known to go here anywhere from twice a week, to twice a day. The guys are friendly, accomodating, and simply make tasty, fresh, no nonsense sandwiches. Sometimes I don't make it in time to grab a bite before they close since I often work a little later than I'd like, but that's just the way it goes - clearly, the world does not revolve around me. That said, if I want it to (at least in part), I start with one of their standard sandwiches and ask for a little tweak here and there and they are always more than happy to oblige. Personal favorite: #9, toasted. Easily my favorite sandwich in the city.

Delicioso!!
I've loved this place for years. Every time I walk in, I'm greeted by everyone behind the counter. My colleagues and I eat here 4 out of 5 workdays of the week and have gotten great food for late evening and weekend deadlines. SANPANINO has THE BEST PROSCIUTTO di PARMA sandwich IN THE VILLAGE!! ...and they know how to make me a mean macchiato.

Perfect! Definitly a 5 star!
The food here is absolutly stunning, but my son who is 14 doesn't all ways have enough money with him to buy a sandwich and/or a drink at lunch. In otherwords, it's a bit pricey, but definitly worth it. I go there everyday after I pick my child up from school a few blocks away. Even if his school is a little out-of-the-way, I still go.

What a disappointment
I used to go to here on a weekly basis but stopped recently after I had less than great service. It is listed that they are open until 8pm daily, but I noticed they close earlier so I called ahead at 6:30 to double check-they said they closing at 7pm. When I arrived at 6:35 they said they were closed and they had already cleaned up for the night. I was not above begging for a sandwich. Getting out of work early is more important than customer service, apparently. I live right around the block and I will not be returning.

I go everyday
Sanpanino is one of the best lunch places I have possibly ever gone in my life. The workers there are really nice, your food is prepared fast, and everything is made fresh that morning. The restaraunt itself is delightful, but it does get crowded with school students getting their lunch. It is very clean and traditionally styled. I think the prices are just right for what you get; the food is absoulutly stunning. Easily the most incredible shop in NYC.

Deeelish!
Fresh ingredients, friendly staff and a very cute manager. I recommend the prosciutto de parma for all you meat eaters and the pesto is to die for. Sitting area is small I have always been able to find a seat. Make San Panino a stop if you find yourself in the West Village.
