Chef Donovan prepared afternoon tea for my friend's birthday. For our reservation, he pre-set the table with impressive detail. It was plain to see that he put a lot of care into his delicious menu. We felt welcomed and acknowledged by all of the waiters. It was a very clean, modern restaurant, with a lovely ambiance. We had a chance to sample cold-pressed juices and heard that tea-infused chocolates are soon to come! This is a wonderful place for tea, cocktails, pastry, sandwiches, etc. I highly recommend going there.

Fish tacos were good. I also had good iced coffee. The Parmesan potatoes were good.

I visited this cute gem of a restaurant last week with my boyfriend and loved the cozy atmosphere as well as the friendly service and tasty food. We shared the truffle Mac n cheese and I had the seared scallops. We both thought the server was attentive and she brought us a yummy tea sample, which was the toasted almond tea. It was a nice ending to our delicious meal. I loved the relaxed and rustic vibe and will definitely visit again in the near future.

Went there this weekend with a few friends and what a disappointment this place is. Felix (right across the street) was our original plan for brunch, but we changed our minds when they told us of an hour wait (now I’m thinking the wait would have been worth it). Portion sizes at Sanctuary are almost laughable and included in the menu is this prix fixe that you must stay away from as it includes a bloody mary with basically no alcohol, a croissant egg sandwich (very suitable for a kid on a diet) and two spoons of ice cream.

4 of us went Friday night for a late dinner. I had the steak salad, which was perfect, and we split goat cheese fritters and scallop cakes. Everything was delicious, good service, nice atmostphere. As we were leaving, the waitress and bartender approached the 4 of us and asked if we wanted some kamikaze shots on the house. The bartender boasted they were the best kamikaze shots we would ever taste, and I rolled my eyes at such a claim. BUT he was not kidding.

I saw this place in passing and decided to stop in being greatly interested in tea myself and loving oolong I decided to try the staff favourite. It tasted of nothing. I am no expert but I was informed an introduced to good tea by an expert. I tried to give the tea more and more time as I kept tasting it until it got bitter and still had no flavour. By this time I had drunk half the tea and did not expect a refund so I settled the bill. The employee noticing the left tea led to me pointing out the lack of flavour. He didn't seem to know much about tea as he tried it and said it should be smooth and wasn't bitter. It was clearly was bitter and smooth in no way means trace flavours of how it should taste! I settled up and left extremely dissapointed of my first new York tea house.

Came here with one of my girl friends for brunch. Our server was very attentive and accomodating - we are very particular orderers. Tea and coffee was very good. Both our meals were very good and we left satisfied. I will definatly come back.
