best ever!
Can't enjoy another sushi place after eating here! always the best quality & great service! Worth the extra money compared to the other lower grade places. I was never a frequent sushi eater till i came across samurai after a friend ordered from them one day.. since then i order every week or other week almost & i try something new each time & i'm never disappointed. LOVE the green tea ice cream! i get it every time <3

Best sushi in Brooklyn
Amazing sushi; better than any place in Manhattan! I go here all the time and I recommend all my friends to try it as well.

Best sushi in brooklyn
This place is awesome. The sushi is always really fresh and tastes amazing, the salads rock (kani salad and spicy tuna salad are fantastic), and the selection of rolls is really great. The service is laid back and pleasant, the waiters really nice and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy. You can always get a table, which is nice. It's a reliable, neighborhood place with Manhattan level quality food at marginally better prices.

not run-of-the-mill sushi
south brooklyn sushi generally falls under one category: 50% off -- which is what the trillion new sushi restaurants in the early 2000's stared calling themselves to draw attention to their extremely low prices. never mind the extremely low quality sushi: boring, poorly executed dishes, fish... and i could go on. anyway, this new joint deserves a category all its own: fresh sushi, great appetizers (can't emphasize the spicy [raw] tuna salad, the tiger eyes, and ceviche enough), and really fun rolls. there's a trade-off, of course, as this sushi is definitely not 50%. (still a bargain by manhattan prices, however.) i've seen it empty on nights it should be packed, which is unfortunate. so we support it by going way out of our way every few weeks to get our fix. also, take note: the service rocks, the space is tiny, and the music -- japanese covers of american hits from way back (think 'backstreetboys').
