Excelente!
I was walking along Smith St looking for a place to eat and happened upon Sample. The place is small but whoever designed it deserves kudos It has a nice bar, a couple of tables in the front and bunch more in the back. The server was very friendly and prompt. We ordered several items on the menu including sardines, smelts, anchovies and a couple of cheeses. We asked the server to pick another cheese for us. The food was excellent! All of it. The cheese suggested by the server was from Spain and was so good. I live in Manhattan but like going to Brooklyn to eat and this place is now my favorite restaurant in Brooklyn.

still dreaming about the cheese plate
i went to sample saturday night after a long day of drinking. i asked for a glass of wine and a cheese plate, and left it up to the bartender (a girl, very cute, didnt catch her name). she brought me a lovely glass of wine and the most delicious cheeses i've ever had. unfortunately, i live in south carolina, and can't go back. otherwise i'd be in there 5 nights a week, sustaining myself on good wine, good cheese and good bread. thank you sample for a wonderful experience.
