A Classic!
This place is a classic. You come here to have fun, as well as eat a very good meal at a reasonable price.

Great food, loud atmosphere. Go with the knowledge that you will over eat and have a great time doing so.

I tried this place and all I can say is if you actually know steak, give it a miss.

A culinary treasure and lots of fun too!
I was in New York remembering my late wife who died a week before,so I was a bit melancholy before making my way to Sammy's on Saturday night. She loved this place alot and introduced me to the restaurant years ago. What a culinary tribute. The eggplant salad is a wonderful starter along with the roasted green peppers. Had the Rumanian garlic sausages(real garlicy) and the large skirt steak(medium rare). 1st class-along with the mashed potaotes w/ chicken fat and fried onions. Egg creams and home made rugelach. Sammy and his staff are warm and gracious too! I left and took a extra Lipitor before bedding down for the evening!

Wow
For anyone who hasn't been to this place, it's a MUST DO, be you Jewish or not. It's a great way to let go and just enjoy yourself as the food keeps coming and coming. If you don't like meat, don't go. The place isn't kosher, but well worth it. My kishkes are still in heaven 2 days later! The atmosphere is fantastic and you are guaranteed to have a good time....or you can come find me and hurt me.

steaks bigger than your plate!
unique sort of eclectic atmosphere... bottle of vodka frozen in a block of ice as the house specialty... definitely a good time.
