Awesome place
This place rocks--great value and great food all around. Their lunch specials are particularly good, you can pretty much get two full meals out of it for around $5!

Great Food!
The food is fabulous. With each visit we've tried something new on the menu, and were never disappointed. The prices are moderate and manageable. However, the service is hit or miss. We've encountered slow service as well as extremely wonderful and attentive service. To sum it up, the food is well worth the visit. I definitely recommend it.

My Favorite Eatery
I don't live in NYC any longer, but whenever I visit, I just have to eat at Sammy's. The food is fresh and delicious. No fresher noodles anywhere. The helpings are huge, so it's a terrific value. The space is a bit noisy, but that's to be expected since it is so popular. Two of my favorite dishes are the eggplant with garlic sauce, and, of course, chow fun noodles. Amazing. I'm kvelling now, just thinking of them. I just wish the wait staff was a little friendlier. A smile goes a long way.

Consistently Good quality
I have dined here for the last three years and unlike most chinese restaurants that offer lunch specials you can actually identify the meat LOL that Sammy's give. Nice quiet place to dine with friends, co-workers or alone. Servers remember you and your special requests. clean simple dining and take out is prompt. Will always be my favorite in the city.

Been going here for 10 years...
It has been my favorite Chinese delivery spot since I moved to NYC ion the mid-90's. Amazing General Tsao's Chicken.

Great Food!
Sammy's Chinese food is great and inexpensive! Whenever my family wants take-out, Sammy's is always the first place to come out of our mouths. Their orange chicken is great, and their peanutbutter noodles are the best in downtown!

Not recommended
Poor service- just to give a glance, the waitress took 25 minutes to take our order, gave us attitude when we asked for a clean plate, gave our food to another table that came in after us, and then we had to sit and wait for them to prepare another meal- bad attitudes, and when we asked for the food to be boxed up, the waiter that took it away stuck his thumbs in our food as he was carrying it.
