    Bad delivery

The food has been very inconsistent lately. One dinner was actually inedible. The delivery guys are consistent rude. They actually demand more money for tips. On more than one occasion when I asked them how much the ticket was they inflated the price or rounded it up. Nowadays I just give them a dollar or two tip and if they have a decent attitude I'll give them more. I don't think they understand that a tip is meant to be a gratuity.

Bravo....It Is Worth Coming To NYC Just To Visit This Restaurant

The only thing I don't like about this establishment is the smoked ducks hanging in the kitchen/front window....The food is second to none, as I have traveled the world over and cannot compare to that of Sammy's. If you want atmosphere, hopefully you have good friends with you and it will not matter where you are. It is a very relaxed atmosphere, rather plain... I LOVE THIS PLACE. SAMMY'S MAKES ME LOVE NEW YORK !

    Still the best ...

... and most reasonable lunch anywhere in New York, including Chinatown. Like many other restaurants they no longer bring cha to the table w/o your asking. But everything I've had (I'm a neighbor) has been high in quality and scrupulously flavored. Try the shrimp w/black bean sauce: a couple dozen quarter sized shrimp with onions and sweet/sour fresh cucumber in a delectable black bean sauce. The hungriest diner will find the white rice suffiicient to the appetite.

Stick with the noodles... you won't go wrong!

Today my friend Amanda and I decided to try out Sammy's. Since it was pouring it was nice to walk in and order some good comfort food. We ordered: Pork buns (ok, but the dough was too thick), spare ribs (pretty good), Chicken Fried Rice (this was a bit of a miss as the mystery meat and/or fat pieces that they used was terrible) and the Lo Mien... By far the Lo mein was the best thing on the menu! The Lo Mein was well seasoned, not dry plenty of sauce and well balanced. The noodles seemed freshly made at the restaurant which just took them over the top... So if you are going to go to Sammy's... Stick with the Noodles, I guarantee that you won't go wrong!

    Great food nice price

I have been off an on at Sammy's, it is a great place to eat. A really good place to eat, I dont mind trying somthing new there, but, their appetizers, great, I had the vegetable dumplings, thier General cho's chicken, really good, the beer selection is good to, American and Foriegn, The only thing I am not happy about is the following, they only give you a small bowl of rice, yet, the portions are very large.........
