    Gluten free and delicious ravioli

Loved the gluten free ravioli. The others thought the meal was good all though a bit expensive. They gave us a gluten free chocolate cake on the house - it was delicious! The waiter was cute and kind, if the restaurant had not calculated the tip - I would have given them more.

    Quite Pleasant Overall

This restaurant has what can fairly described as mixed reviews various complaints and praises for very minor to very major offenses. I took my family and in-laws (a party of 8) here for a Friday night dinner and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Our server was by all standards, excellent. He reminded us that it was a family style restaurant and that we would likely only need about 4 dishes to share between the all of us after all was said and done everyone left quite full and we still had four containers of leftovers. The food was delicious, not the supreme king best of the best Italian food Ive ever had (a distinction I reserve for one restaurant in Philadelphia), but everyone in my party found the food to be delicious and satisfying. Everything tasted pretty fresh and the portion sizes were, again, colossal. The bill came to about $40 per person, with 4 entrees, 2 or 3appetizers, wine and dessert AND our server made sure to highlight on the bill that a gratuity had been added by the restaurant (which not every server would do). I have two very minor complaints. First, the butter that came out with the bread before our meal tasted very refrigerated, which doesn’t ruin my meal but fresher butter is always appreciated. Second, there was one server/food runner type who hovered around our table for too long. He kept standing about 4 feet away and staring at the table, approaching every few minutes to try to clear dishes. This guy was not our server (who again, was great) and if I went back I would make sure that he was nowhere near me kind of creepy really. Aside from that, I would recommend this place and return with enthusiasm.

now just a faded memory of greatness

we have been coming to this restaurant for years and this past visit was a HUGE disappointment! We waited for over a half hour for service after being seated and other tables had received their appetizers and entrees before we were served. When we complained we were told that our appetizers took longer to cook. Funny since the table next to us got the exact same appetizer. The food that finally arrived was inedible, the chicken was stringy and dry as a bone and the pasta tasted like it was heated up after sitting for half the day.

    great food

took my dad here, just the two of us. The place was full of life, laughter and yet, not too loud...our pasta rocked! I thought the salad we ordered could have used more dressing but was otherwise good wholesome stuff! Very family friendly and that's what I love about this place.

    A Disappointment

Certainly an attractive space but a very disappointing experience. Salad was good but chicken breast in chicken marsala was stringy and tough - seemed as if it had been frozen then defrosted at high temperature in the microwave pasta dishes mediocre. Service was also mediocre. Ordered alcohol free beer. First one arrived in a glass and I drank it second one was delivered in a bottle, which I did not recognize. Turned out it was gluten-free it was not alcohol-free . This could be dangerous for a person allergic to alcohol. Asked waiter to exchange gluten-free for alcohol free he exchanged but no apologies AND we were billed for two gluten-frees and one alcohol free. On request, the second gluten free was removed from the bill.

    Poor Service, Average Food

I went here for dinner on Saturday night. I thought the service was not good. The waiter could not hear what we were saying as we ordered. Then, at the end of the meal, my friend ordered one glass of wine, and the waiter (who was standing right next to her so he could totally hear her) proceeded to say "ok 1 bottle of wine for the table?" then I said to him "no she said 1 glass" then he looked across the table and said "ok 1 bottle of wine" until my friend had to say again "no 1 glass." he could hear her because he was standing right next to her but he so obviously ignored us hoping that we'd order the more expensive bottle. We ordered pasta which was ok but I could have made the same dish at home. The marinara sauce was nothing special. The worst thing was that instead of offering fresh cheese they placed a small bottle of cheese on the table. It's the kind of bottle you'd find at a local pizza joint. The atmosphere was ok...more older people than younger people. Because of the service and the very average food though, I would not return.

    very solid dining experience

Perfectly cooked salmon, baked clams.... and the salad was top notch. The host person made us feel welcome, which made this warm and cozy restaurant one we'd go back to. Portions are more than ample and the service is solid. Try to leave some room for desert and coffee.
