excellent
I went to Salute about 6 months ago, the atmosphere was very nice, the service was great, and the food was excellent! I got the seabass and my uncle got the steak. It was probably the best steak I have ever had, and I have been to some of the best steak houses in the United States. The seabass was also wonderful. I cant wait to go back to NYC so I can go back.

High End Dive
Not worth the trip to Murray Hill and the locals have many better options and values. This is just another Italian restaurant that has the nerve to charge exorbitant prices for mediocre food.

great atmosphere...the food was cold
i could not believe that the veggie lasgna came out cold and with no flavor.. there was no bold taste or flavor.. when i told them the dish was cold they simply took it away and reheated the same dish.. they offered a very passive apology and no explanation. i was very upset that this high end restaurant had below average dishes..

The best tiramesu I ever had!
My friend and I went there for lunch during the NY restaurnat week. The food was excellent from the appetizer to the desert. The tiramesu was out of this world. We were very happy with our choice.

Great place for a date
My boyfriend and I went to Salute! for dinner during Restaurant Week. The staff was very nice and welcoming, but kind of left us alone after were served. The food came promptly and was delicious! Although the Restaurant Week menu is shortened, they did a good job of showcasing what the restaurant could offer. We could barely finish our deserts. The cocktails are big and strong. This place is a bit pricey to be a regular spot, but it's a great restaurant for a romantic date.

Salute Me When I'm Rich
The location of this place is great, as well as its interior. The price is a little up there. Great wine [select]ion. Better off sitting at the bar for a drink and to grab a light dish. The menu isn't all that impressive, Italian pastas, very fresh but nothing unheard of. Staff, well dressed and mannered.

excellent for a quick lunch date
I sat at the bar and had lunch here, a surprisingly pleasant experience. Just the olives and large chunks of fresh parmesan cheese served before you start are worth the experience (though the bread wasn't quite as good). Nice selection of wines, friendly staff, impeccably dressed. My seafood salad was delicious.
