    Good experience

My girlfriends always reccomend going in and getting some drinks in the lounge before we go out. I went with them this past Friday and had such a nice time. I had some prosecco which was only $10 a glass and for that kind of place is very nicely priced and then had a pizza and little antipasti in a super comfortable dining room where we were able to enjoy some good music, but still hear each other talk. I could have stayed there all night.

    Such a lovely restaurant

I was so surprised and pleased today! My pick of a lunch venue in a part of town that is less than exciting was a big hit! Room was lovely - not noisy - service was attentive and food excellent.I recommend it highly!

    Compliments

I heard somewhere that it was good manners to give a compliment for every criticism.  So here we go: 1.a  Nice ambiance 1.b  We had made reservations based on the web-published Restaurant Week Menu.  We had to request it, were told " it's not Restaurant Week, it's Prix Fixe.". When we were given completely different menu than the web menu: "oh yes that is from last year, we really need to change that" 2.a. Restaurant is flexible with substitutions 2.b. They were out of the pasta I wanted, I was offered a different shape pasta (fine by me) with the recipe intact, then was told 15 minutes later that they were out of the main ingredient in the recipe, and would I like to substitute shrimp for sea urchin? UH, yeah, they taste EXACTLY the same, except for flavor, texture, odor... Other than that, exactly. 3.a. In the summer, a cooling spritz is refreshing 3.b.  An entire glass of water was spilled in my partner's lap by a staff member 4.a. Wild boar (cinghiale) lasagna was very tasty 4.b. Swordfish pasta needed salt, or olives, capers, or lemon zest.... Flavor? 5.a  Clean bathrooms are important 5.b.  The marble floor was nice and slippery after the man mopped it... In the middle of dinner service!?!?!?.....and in his zealousness with the mop the toilet seats were also nice and wet, and in that kind of a restaurant, I don't really need to see the can of Glade on the toilet paper dispenser. 6.a. They gave us a 10% discount on the bill for the experience of wet lap dining, and free espresso. 6.b. They charged me for the original dish I ordered and that they were out of, instead of the one I ended up eating (which was $2 less actually). 7.a. $25 for a glass of wine? Bravo! 7.b. $25 for a GLASS of wine!?

    low low low

food quality is low. the pasta was not good. the pasta itself was not cooked 'al dente' it was soft and mushy. tomato sauce reminded me of something i would cook, which is NOT good. chicken entree? nothing special. however! the atmosphere, good. service was good. one can come here to celebrate special occasion, but to come here for food? no thanks. not coming back. oh yeah, and its WAY too over priced.

    Great Food, Steep Price

I went here for dessert but after a glance at the menu I had to try the calamari and stuffed cherry tomatoes both of which were great. I also got several dessert all of them amazing. The price of the food was high but based on the taste I thought it was worth it.

    Good but Overpriced

I have been to this restaurant twice - for lunch and dinner. Both times the service was great. The food is very good, but $24 for pasta - at lunch, is just too much. It tastes like it is worth about $13.
