Best tasting mexican in the city!

The thing I dislike about most mexican in the city is that is doesn't have much taste but the food here was FULL of flavor. Soo delicious and good prices too. It was packed and they are definitely understaffed so it took forever to get our food and you had to go looking for them if you wanted refills of anything but I did'nt mind they were very nice. It very eclectic looking...nothing fancy but the decor is decent. LOVE this place.

    Terrible

The only thing that is good are the margaritas. The service is bad and the food is worse. And it's all way over priced for what they have!

    Expensive cantina

This place was so over priced for what it was. The food was not worth it. The mole sauce was way too sweet, it just tasted like brown sugar. $9.50 Margaritas.

I go out of my way to avoid this place.

The food here is over-priced and not good. The only thing I've ever had here that I can say I've enjoyed is the shrimp fajitas. The ceviche is very disappointing. It's sad seafood with what could be a ketchup red sauce slathered on top. The guacamole is, as others have said, flavorless and I too have sensed that's its brownish coloring is just wrong. The shrimp tamale appetizer I got once was bitter and WHERE was the shrimp??? I know, why have I eaten there so much? I live close by. But I will now gladly walk further south for much better fare that at least provides free chips and salsa!

    Take out from Hell

I recently got a delivery from this place based on a menu I had picked up this past summer. My two apps and one entre arrived without a bill but with a total written on a menu. The total was 30% more than the menu from 6 months ago and one appetizer had switched duck with chicken. On top of all this the delivery man was rude when I asked where the itemized bill was and if he had given me the wrong bag, as he was carring 2 other bags for delivery. In this economy this place will die a deserved death and hopefully quickly before they rip off someone else.

    Great Shrimp Fajitas

I've been to this spot probably 30 times. It's my summer spot, especially for their margaritas. I've never been disappointed with their food, it's always been good. The jicama salad and shrimp fajitas are awesome, as are the "mama nachos" The service can be a bit bad when they are packed, but I still love this place!

    Serving OLD food - gross

Just had lunch at Salsa y Salsa - what a disappointment! Both a salad and my "quesadilla" were covered in diced lettuce that was literally brown! My friend's veggie burrito was fine, but nothing you couldn't make at home. I ordered "Quesadilla de Papa" - maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but this dish looked and tasted disgusting. It was a deep fried taco shell with chunks of potato inside topped with brown lettuce, sour cream (more like a salad dressing consistency) and feta cheese! I'm pretty sure a quesadilla is NOT supposed to be deep fried - they are soft and usually the cheese is inside, not FETA sprinkled on top. When I asked if the dish came with some sauce or something, the waiter looked at the menu and said "no" - obviously I was not happy with the dish, would it be so hard to offer me some sauce since I asked? I've been to Mexico and had great authentic food. I wasn't expecting that here - but is it that hard to make some tasty Mexican basics?!? Bad food and bad service.
