Disappointing
Disappointing experience and food. The most disappointing chicken torta I've ever had. I could have made better at home, and I really don't cook. It had a miniscule amount of thin, flavorless chicken inside sloppy roll that was over flowing with lettuce, tomato and avocado slices, not even guacamole. It came with inedible fries that tasted like sour, old oil. The dish was garnished with a carrot and fried onions, that made no sense. Salsa and chips came with very little salsa, that was completely forgettable. The kitchen obviously needs better culinary skills! Service was inattentive and slow. I would not go back.

Super Bummed
I wouldn't recommend it for delivery or take out. Maybe its a different experience in the restaurant after a few cervesas. It's expensive and was the saddest tamale I have ever seen. :( My boyfriend had been surfing all day, he was starving and we ended up throwing the food out. Super Bummed

Love the food and mojitos are the best
I'm puzzled by the bad reviews, because we live nearby and have been here maybe 20 times and always have a good experience. We've brought friends, who've raved about the place. (my husband used to run a business in Mexico and really knows his Mexican food. I always have the mole chicken, and occasionally the tortilla soup - both delicious. Mojitos are the best, and the guacamole more than decent. And, we've always had really good service, even when we came with a bunch of kids. Decor leaves something to be desired, but that's minor IMO. A good value, and a neighborhood favorite.

Not recommended
This Mexican was corrected twice on how to pronounce Chile Relleno. The waiter actually pronounce the "ll" like the l in lousy service. Though I need not say more I will add that the quesadillas ("ll" as in yellow cheese) were made with American singles. Really?! The tamales were hard, cold and oddly colored. I've never seen tamales like that anywhere in Mexico. When everything was returned no compensations was offered.

I think it should be known, i'll be back!
I went here on Sun. for brunch w/ a group of 11. (ages 20-60) I had never been and decided to go out on a whym and make the reservation. The decor could def use some sprucing up (maybe just some lighting!) and There were a few mistakes (mixed up drink orders) but nothing unforgiveable & they were quick to correct. Once they found out it was my bday they were extremely kind & brought out a tray of tequilla shots on their own for me and my guests, while singing happy birthday, all very sweet!! All of our food came out in a timely manner and everyone was very pleased w/ their meals. I would def. go back! Thanks again guys for making my bday go so smoothly!!

ugh
I think this place should be closed down and converted into a comedy club because it's clearly full of a bunch of jokers. The first time I ordered from here, I asked for enchiladas with molé sauce, and received enchiladas with salsa verde instead. Fine; perhaps it was a small mistake, so I didn't call back to have them correct it. The next time I ordered, I asked for two orders of enchiladas with molé sauce; each order arrived with molé sauce AND salsa verde. That time I did call back and asked them to deliver me what I ordered. In return, I received one enchilada with molé sauce and one with salsa verde. Thinking the third time must be a charm, I called back, had to repeat my order 5 TIMES, and then actually, miraculously, got the correct order. As if that wasn't bad enough, the third time I ordered from this place (I know, by now you are wondering why ever went back. The reason is that the first two incidents happened months ago and I was actually giving the place another shot because I'm not into writing places off), I asked for one order of panuchos and one crispy chicken taco, and instead received two orders of panuchos (which were disgustingly soggy when they arrived). When I called back to have my order corrected, the person taking my order told me he'd send the taco ("No problem!" he said, which I consider an insult to my experience with this place), but that I should send one of the panuchos back (which I am pretty sure is against health code). When the taco arrived it too was soggy and did NOT come with the rice and beans it was supposed to. Don't order delivery from here unless you enjoy the experience of paying to be a joke and swallowing a crap load of frustration.

It's good!
I agree with the reviewer below - I have been here repeatedly and feel compelled to write about how great it is. It's not gourmet, but it is fun, lively neighborhood mexican and I recommend it.
